Donald Trump and US politics
" Was that during the election? Was that in anyway not part of the ambassadors job? You know what they do, right? And among these thins is talk to other politicians. Sessions wasnt part of the ruling government tho and had no reason to talk to the Russians. Context. |

" Maybe not welcome it, but they're supporting policies that would increase the likelihood of that happening. It's not unrealistic to think this geopolitical maneuvering by both sides is going to come to a climax at some point. People like John Mccain would have us go to war with the Russians over Ukraine. And that would be fucking retarded. Mccain wanted to establish a no-fly zone over Syria and shoot down Russian aircraft that infringed on the no-fly zone. That's incomprehensibly retarded. I believe someone, eventually is going to start WW3 over a similar situation, and it's gonna go down as one of the most retarded decisions ever made by a human. I'll be an American that starts it. Since we're talking about people being fucking retarded, the icing on the cake + the cherry on top are the people who think that we're escalating tensions with the Russians for purely altruistic reasons. Good ol' Merica' is a force for good in the world, on a crusade against evil and tyranny. This is what happens when people drink too much of the establishment's cool-aid. " Which narrative would that be? There isn't a narrative where Obama meeting with the Ambassador is a bad thing, but there is one in when it comes to senator Sessions. Your example showed nothing really, and it wouldn't too be far fetched to call it a false equivalence. I think everything I wrote on my last post still stands. Only someone that doesn't understand the accusations against Sessions would mention the meetings of Obama. Democrats are calling Sessions out for supposedly lying under oath about meting with Russian, when there is suspicion of collusion in the Trump campaign with the Russian Government. That is the simplest and the most objective way I can put, and if you still don't understand why mentioning Obama brings nothing to the conversation, then I give up. " Oh yeah, I am sure you spend more time on democratic outlets than I do, and sure knows about the things democrats talk among themselves. The jokes that we see around saying that Trump is Putin's puppet is the proof that democrats don't think Trump is colluding with Russia. Look, if you want to say that they think like that, but are wrong because *yadda yadda republican talking point*, fine. But don't go around saying the opposite of what I say just for fun. Keep your foot on reality dude. THERE ARE people that think Trump and his campaign is colluding with Russia. Are they wrong? Well, you can discuss that with someone else, but the fact that a fair amount of democrats think that Trump was colluding with Russia during the campaign is not something that can be contested. |

Mike Pence conducted public business as governor of Indiana on a private email account. And got hacked.
Not that it really matters, but it's nice to know just how shamelessly hypocritical the man is when evaluating his later statements. Moving from malice to stupidity, we have Jeff Sessions, who didn't read the DoJ's reports on police abuses in Chicago or Ferguson, but is still willing to opine that it was "anecdotal" based on the summaries. That's disturbing - these reports revealed systemic abuses of power by the police departments in question. We're talking about the kind of police force that beat an innocent man then charged him with property damage for bleeding on their uniforms. The fact that he didn't even see fit to read them in their entirety, combined with his intent to end federal monitoring of various police departments indicates an extreme "laissez-faire" attitude towards police abuses. This is not someone who is going to stand up for your fourth-amendment rights. Maybe if he had actually read the reports in question, he wouldn't be so cavalier about ending federal monitoring about those police departments. I bet nothing Mike Pence dealt with was classified material, and a potential threat to national security if it got leaked though. Your comparison is moot. Clinton kept classified material on a private server. If that's the best the left can come up with, then they're hysterical.
I hope Trump just casually drops a zinger one day that they're going to bring charges against Hillary Clinton. If this happens, it's going to be real sudden, and without warning. He might even be sitting on the opportunity, and waiting for the right moment to do it. Tears will be flowing like the river Nile, and I'll be feasting to my hearts content on the salinity. Trump might not be the most popular president, but something the left isn't taking into consideration is that Trump's base of support is extremely unyielding. Nothing the left says or does is going to change this. If Trump could even slightly extend his base of unyielding supporters, that pretty much guarantees he wins re-election. There are a lot of ways he could go about doing this. And he's got 4 years to do this. Last edited by MrSmiley21#1051 on Mar 3, 2017, 10:22:06 AM

" Lol, Hillary was cleared. There will be no charges against her. damn you Trumplets are going nuts since Trump took office. I bet you crawl back into your caves when he gets impeached or resigns. |

" There is still an ongoing investigation into her dealings with the Clinton Foundation. This is separate from the email scandal. You can be sure that Jeff Sessions is keeping tabs on this investigation. It would be just complete euphoria for me, complete dopamine overload, if I was to hear the news that they're going to prosecute Clinton. Last edited by MrSmiley21#1051 on Mar 3, 2017, 10:28:34 AM

" I think it's great. The left in the USA hasn't proven that their policies work. So people are starting to rightfully phase them out. Like the boy who cried wolf. This isn't just about the left either, a lot of Conservative ideas haven't proven that they work either. Particularly, free trade. Laissez-Faire Capitalism (Milton-Friedman-omics) doesn't work. You probably agree with the later, although the working masses have stopped drinking the Conservative cool-aid that Laissez-Faire is good for everybody. The fact that a Civic Nationalist like Trump was able to cuckold the establishment Republican Party shows me that the political landscape in the USA is changing. The problem for the left is, they're not coming up with any new ideas. They're going to have to reinvent themselves like Trump made the Republican Party do. If they think they have any chance at winning another presidential election. Because if all they got in 2020 is another establishment Democrat running a campaign based mostly on the fact that they're not Trump, they're going to lose again. " Well, you know, eight years of consistent growth, tens of millions of people who couldn't get health care before now being covered, crime rates down, unemployment down, considerably closer to energy independence... By the numbers, the left's policies have been pretty damn good, despite a concerted republican opposition from day one. They haven't been magic, and they certainly can't match up to the wild-ass promises Trump made on the campaign trail, but I guess the right wasn't listening when various experts pointed out that those wild-ass promises were pretty much unachievable, nor were they paying attention for Trump's explanation of how he would fulfill those promises, because what he offered there wasn't particularly realistic either. This is why not listening to those darned libruls might be a bad thing. You want proof of how well liberal policies work? Trump's right wing can't seem to stomach the political price of repealing Obamacare because they know full well that if they do, there's going to be quite a bit of blood on their hands. Trump has shifted the republican position drastically to the left, by promising coverage for everyone. If it were a liberal talking, the response would be, "What kind of commie bullshit is that? This is a government takeover of medicine!" And indeed, that was the response eight years ago. Now it's taken as a given that if the republicans go through with their campaign promises of repealing Obamacare, something they have been promising and working towards for six years, there will be dire electoral consequences. Oh well. " That's the truly bizarre thing here. By pretty much any metric, Obama was a good president. Seriously. And most people knew it, too. His approval rating on his way out of office was not just higher than most presidents since World War 2, it was considerably higher than Trump or Clinton. He came into office with the economy in a terrible position, and managed to finagle eight years of solid growth. And somehow, the left has to "reinvent themselves"? What? That doesn't make any sense. I mean, you might not be wrong, most of the electorate doesn't make any fucking sense, largely because, well, as you so kindly put it: "Nothing the left says or does is going to change this."
