Kinda frustrated that my support went for a Consol port instead of fixing and making the game better

This whole debate is ridiculous, and attacking people who think so won't change a thing. Are you going to play on xbox when it comes out? Likely not. Am I? Likely not. Are most people who are already playing the PC version going to move? Likely not. Over-exerted frustration for no stinking reason. It's all very childish if you ask me. I'd rather talk about what's coming in 3.0 than watch a bunch of babies bicker over the 'growth' (as opposed to decline) of the game. Seriously! Get a grip!

Don't underestimate the pull of The Couch. I have a pretty nice rig and still choose to play pc games on ps4 when I can. I get the whole pc masterrace gag but in reality, most pc owners probably also own some form of console.

The next step should be a PoE on iOS and Android. Oh God. That'd be sexy. Casual and dumbed down but oh so sexy.

And there are already tablet games more graphically advanced than PoE. Some even have water ripples.

I have a lot of different consoles, going all the way back to Atari 2600, complete with a thick layer of dust to show how very little they occupy my life. The majority of Xbox games I play are done so on Windows 10, which 'surprise' isn't a console, despite the access. The majority of ports I've seen, the console version is the lesser of the two, leaving the PC version right where it was (in terms of dominance). I have never before seen this many people upset over the "growth" of a game.

LOL at a niche game going to consoles to console crowds being considered as 'growth' and not 'decline'.

tbe only growth it can be is through business point of view.

nothing good pretty much ever came from a nice pc game deciding to be multiplatform. just dumbing things down, cutting corners and making complex mechanisms with failure states idiot proof.

This port has the potential to increase traffic for the PC version. Especially if the "Xbox/Win10" version is, as folks keep saying, "dumbed-down". ~ I seriously doubt said port will be 'better'.

I put Win10 on there as a reminder that Xbox games can be played on it, without buying Xbox.

um why would I care about 'increasing traffic'? nothing good comes out of that for a niche game either. a niche game becoming more accessible and a result suddenly having a big casual fanbase, with the original fanbase now being a 'vocal minority'

in case you haven't noticed, that's exactly what had been happening to poe over last year and the half or so. this game used to be much more grindy and casual-repellent.
I think this is a ridiculous topic tbh but for me i support for 2 reasons:

1) I want to have points to buy MTX / other stuff. Be it either the stuff i get from the pack itself or the points to spend freely.
This is main reason one.
2) I don't mind spending more money on a game then any other (even my 7 year WOW cost me less) because i love this game. I know GGG uses it make new content and to keep improving the game.

Nobody here spends money on POE to support GGG first and for the points/MTX second.

Does the Xbox One release cost me new content? Does it cost me improvement on the game?
No.
Do they use a part of the money for something i won't see or use (Xbox one version in this case)?
Yes.
But so what? We keep getting new content and keep getting improvements.

Don't make it sound like ALL support money goes to Xbox now. That is utter BS. This is just QQing to QQ.

Is that so? I personally know one exception to that.

Well gee duh, Wilbur. Why would a business be concerned with increasing customers? Uh, maybe it has something to do with Staying In Business? Do you think it might be that? I know very well how the game used to be, compared to now. People are lowballing GGG without a good reason.

I could see it if POE didn't have constant updates and changes since it came out, but that isn't close to the case here. People are acting like it's been dead-in-the-water since beta and this is the end.

As though there's a reason for jealously. I get the impression more than 80% don't have the faintest idea how hard it is to design, develop, and maintain a project as large as this. If they actually had, they wouldn't complain about anything (as opposed to everything) and would either be comfortable, or developing their own games so people can bicker at them (for the same reason).
