GGG WHY POE TRADE?

You are wasting valuable lifetime posting about trading improvements. They don't give a shit.

It's not that they don't care at all.

Is it so hard to understand? They don't want an AH and poe.trade is only tolerated because it is what it is and not more. The second it becomes more than it should be (the new instant search is imo a step too far already) GGG will step in and stop it.

Trading is supposed to take time. Time taken away from playing and farming currency. An AH would make trading so easy the prices would drop significantly, but also leaves more time to farm currency, further impacting the balance.

Please try to think outside your little tiny personal box, there is so much more to factor in than simple QoL. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Are we on the Titanic?

For a game where trading supposedly plays an important part, the provided tools are truly abysmal. GGG should take a look at EVE Online; it has the best built-in trading tools I've ever seen in a video game.

Well give GGG as many years as Eve Online's been around for and maybe Path of Exile'll have tools of the same quality.

Partialy true, partialy wrong. I never asked for an AH since early of 2014 i got convinced OFFLINE TRADING would be bad.
This forum convinced me of that, i took time to test differents games to see why it would be so bad and clearly game would die in not even a day or two items would worth nothing and well the good old argue of botting ( Granted PoE trading tools are already boted and not much is done about that. ). See i'm able to go out of my LITTLE TINY PERSONAL BOX.

Now that beeing said i've a problem with the trading actual design. That's the only part of the game that always ruined my experience.

Anyway i don't want to debate anymore around this. Don't worth my time and what you answered just confirm more or less what i said in previous post. They don't give a shit about trading. And you guys are wasting your time asking for anything about it.

I'm glad this topic won't go away. I hope we keep complaining until something rational is done about the state of trading in this game.

I find a few things curious, though:

That poe.trade is considered by many as a de facto "auction house" when in fact there is no auction and you cannot buy anything with it (the two distinguishing features of an AH).

That half of the anti-easier-trading group claim that prices will go through the roof due to bots, while the other half claim that prices will drop through the floor because of easy availability. I suspect that, most likely, neither extremes will happen.

In other words u say ggg don't want an ah because they want players not to play their game but rather trading x'D
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.
I agree -- I think they have taken the stance it's working now so why change it.

I personally feel there needs to be an in-game search for items and do away with poe.trade.

I also feel that a person can set the buyout/fixed price and have the other party purchase directly from the stash located in the hideout. Just to be clear, I'm not saying they can purchase from the search menu, they still have to go to the sellers hideout and purchase directly from the stash.

I'm in no way in favor of a D3 like AH. I played that and saw what it can do to the game. Not good....

reason why ah in d3 was messed up was meanly because the drop rates in that shitty game is like 1000000x what the drop rates are in poe :')

look at gw2's action house for instant hen you see it can work :')

I've never played gw2 so you may be right.
1. The most important change to make, that I think would solve 99% of complaints people have with trading, is accurate status information (the ability for XYZ to determine if players are online/offline/AFK/DND/etc. so as to eliminate time wasted trying to trade with AFK players).
2. The only other potential change I would like to see is the integration of the Poe.trade system into the game, rather than having to access it through a web browser. Beyond that, trade is fine IMO.

The reality is that as someone who trades A LOT, 99% of trades go like this:
1. I paste whisper message from poe.trade
2. get invited by seller to party
3. go to hideout
4. trade
5. "ty ss"
6. "ty ss"
7. Leave party/seller's hideout

The 1% that does not go like that is of course frustrating, but anyone who tries to say that the vast majority of their trade interactions don't go like that is either lying, exaggerating, or has a very small sample size.
U MAD?
