GGG WHY POE TRADE?

you are partially correct. poe.trade facilitates player to player trade, but the key thing is it does it in a kinda shitty way. this is important as it means player trading is still somewhat difficult and annoying.

basically it's all about drop rates. if trading was easy and simple then drop rates would have to be nerfed into the ground to prevent every player from having access to best in slot gear whenever they want it (which is currently what the wealthy or connected trading elite currently have.) lowering drop chances and/or reducing rng chance on crafting etc. would 'normalise' the effect of an ingame AH or trade system, but it would greatly penalize any player playing self-found, and I'm confident GGG don't wish to do that.

PoE is designed around the grind, and implementing a system that clearly offsets that grind without destroying the game is a delicate thing to do.

But implementing it, would be the same as it is now, but more convenient, not having to alt tab out of the game, which can also cause some people problems, just makes sense to me.

no, you pay for premium tabs because you can rename them and change their colour.

the fact that this also makes them visible to the web API (of which poe.trade just happens to be a site that utilizes said API) is a bonus.

Auction House is a MUST in this game right now

That's the entire point, when will people get it?

For a game where trading supposedly plays an important part, the provided tools are truly abysmal. GGG should take a look at EVE Online; it has the best built-in trading tools I've ever seen in a video game.
