LABYRINTH LADDERS - unfair?

The issue is that, with the need to play a dedicated build and the top players being so much faster than the others, it is incoherent to even try to compete.

Well most of the others probably dont skip Argus. And some keys require waiting for Izaro. And to get a top time in the lab its often necessary to do several runs to a) get familiar with the layout and b) get lucky with the randomized stuff.
Of course this does not explain the vast gap. The "vast gap" is likely due to build & player skill.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
Just looked at the EHC uber lab ladders. The last 2 days there was no top race time. And easy mods on Izaro IIRC.

Even better the HC ladder. Very low competition. Anybody with a dedicated build and some skills can get a jewel there. And you can just RIP it to standard then - if you want.

Edit: Nov 1 there is no single entry in the HC uber lab ladder...

I feel like introducing a cooldown upon winning such a Jewel might be a fair way of allowing multiple persons to acquire one.
As in preventing a Jewel-winner from getting another one for X days.

Rewarding the top 3 entries might also be a nice way to make these Jewels more accessible, maybe even coupled with the beforementioned cooldown.

It's not a pressing matter in the end I guess, since these Jewels aren't that interesting anyways (at least not to me).

The jewels are niche, but they are absolutely retarded for their niche builds in my opinion.

I have one template for the ubber lab jewel but i simply refuse to run it because of the scarcity of the jewel and its price because of that.

Which is sad, because the build is interesting in a way but far from OP compared to meta contenders.

I would be in favor of rewarding more then one person with the jewel (like top 3 or 5) on a single day, to saturate the market a bit more making them available at a more reasonable price.

Last time i checked it sold for like 10ex or so, considering a build that uses them is going to stack them 10x or so, it's simply not cost efficient for the results those specific builds have.
Which makes them good "medals", but very bad in therms of build diversity and enablers.

I've contacted a supporter about the fact that one person monopolyze both type of jewels reward of Merci and Uber lab's speedrun for half of year and i got no answer on it. They just dont give a fuck about this i suppose.

That's them doing their job, they have no reason to care.

If the rules are "complete X and gain reward Y" and that person is following those rules, there is no issue to complain about.

People that need the jewel being bothered by this, doesn't constitute a valid reason for change.

I'm probably about to sound rude.

Can you explain to me how this is different from literally all other competitions? Like, should we ban Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt from the Olympics because they keep getting gold medals?

When looking at the world of sports, it seems having an uncontested winner usually has the opposite effect from what you described; instead of giving up, competitors push themselves even harder because they know they can improve upon themselves to at least match the uncontested winner's scores. Isn't that what competitive players strive for? To push themselves until they're the very best?

With all that in mind, instead of lockouts, it'd probably be healthier to simply raise the skill ceiling to be really high, like with shrines that add +5% move speed and +5% damage taken and speed up enemies by 5% as well, stacking to infinity.

Oh, here we go. It is more than a stupid idea to compare clicking computer game and physical sport.

If GGG can't made a lab's speedrun equal for all classes that currently exist then yes, they shall ban [devoided] from getting a rewards. He got enough of it being top 1 for more than 4 months by exploiting pathfinder's imbalance at Merci and Uber i suppose.

AND NO, i CANT PUSH MYSELF HARDER because PATHFINDER IS OP.

You have the option to make whatever type of character you think is best for the lab if you desire. Don't act like you're being held back from competing because you don't have that build already. Obviously different builds vary in effectiveness for the lab ladder, as they should. The only way your point would be valid would be if you had to pay to unlock the pathfinder class.

You could ban them for doping, but yeah.

cooldown and Rewarding the top 3 or top 5 would be really nice to see, thats clearly much more fair then we have.

+1 from me.
