LABYRINTH LADDERS - unfair?

Hi guys,

I just wanted to point out my thoughts on the Labyrinth Ladders.

All throughout essence it has been the same person winning everyday for merc and uber.

My thoughts just are what is the point of having a ladder if its just going to be the same person winning constantly every single day.

I can understand this person has a pure lab build but what encouragement does it give to others to try do it as fast as possible if they already know they are never going to get a chance at being first.

Maybe consider having some kind of winning lockout per week so it encourages others to have a chance to win.

I'm probably about to sound rude.

Can you explain to me how this is different from literally all other competitions? Like, should we ban Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt from the Olympics because they keep getting gold medals?

When looking at the world of sports, it seems having an uncontested winner usually has the opposite effect from what you described; instead of giving up, competitors push themselves even harder because they know they can improve upon themselves to at least match the uncontested winner's scores. Isn't that what competitive players strive for? To push themselves until they're the very best?

With all that in mind, instead of lockouts, it'd probably be healthier to simply raise the skill ceiling to be really high, like with shrines that add +5% move speed and +5% damage taken and speed up enemies by 5% as well, stacking to infinity.

No i can understand what you are saying.

I just don't see what the point of having a ladder is, if its just going to be the same person forever.

Might as well just give them the prize and remove ladder.
The only problem I have with it is the monopolization of items that are desired to some extent. As adghar says, it is no different from competition but nobody really values a gold medal outside of the person who won it owning it (Some people buy awards like that but they are... weird. So I kind of ignore that, its more inline with people buying demigods or something).

The problem is that the jewels are more like "paddle in this kayak race and the top 3 fastest people get $400. *No limits on model of kayak, oars, or motorized parts being used*", it has value to everybody, but the only people that can consistently profit from it are those who can afford to grab stuff that slams them through the lab instantly. Just looking at those who have exposed race characters, 6links and higher end items are all involved, depending on difficulty.

So it is "fair" in its current form in name only. In reality, GGG should set a time limit and anybody within that time limit should also have a random draw chance to receive the jewels on top of the top 3 winners or in place of it.

The rewards will gradually flood the market with time regardless so something to limit the monopolization of them would be nice. They are essentially the diamond cartels telling everybody to pay up at a huge upcharge because these jewels, which have an infinite long run supply, are almost entirely owned by them so either don't plan on owning one, pony up, or become part of the cartel and take part in the exclusivity.

The ladder is a complete joke since it counts the time spent killing Izaro instead of excluding it, just more shit for our beloved sonic speed and 1 trillion dps "meta".

I might be mistaken, but like 50% of playerbase might not even know that there is a ladder for it,majority of the other 50% might not even care,i mean considering the amount of players we have, even if the leagues are about to end,the lab ladder never really goes that far in terms of recorded participants, and again of which majority are on the list most likely just because they ran it for the 2 points.

Is it unfair? Is he using cheats? If not, then i don't see a reason why anyone else wouldn't be able to do it.
No rest for the wicked.
You can practice on some mario levels before trying to beat the first on the ladder. Why Mario? Well it's almost essentially the same as the labyrinth in poe. Here is the one i recommend for practice:

You'll know that when you can beat that you can take on the fastest of labyrinth players.
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

The issue is that, with the need to play a dedicated build and the top players being so much faster than the others, it is incoherent to even try to compete.

Race seasons, on the other hand, are made to encourage players to try them out and get better at them.

Labyrinth races are closer to PvP than to the race seasons, because they both exclude players rather than engage them.
