Really interested in this as a league starter for next league as it seems like it would work well and it also is sort of modular gearing until you get the starforge which i also like. However not sure what paths are best to go first on the skill tree. Could you add a quick leveling skill tree section?

The build works very well as a league starter (weapon progression I'd recommend is rares -> Rigwald's Charge -> Kondo's Pride -> Starforge; Kondo's Pride with hatred aura will give you enough damage to comfortably get into red maps). For leveling, go for the RT keystone, then after that go for life nodes, with the damage nodes being the last things you hit (probably not until lvl 70 or so). For ascendency points I'd recommend picking up Bane of Legends first (the cull is really nice), then picking up Endless Hunger and Brutal Fervour as these provide a lot of survivability, with Headsman being the last one.

how does this build compare to a cospri's forge build?
For instant, I think this one is tankier/ have more leech = staying alive longer. But idk about anything else: dps wise? ease of control? Any insight comparison please :D

i don't know this build, but probably use corspri chest for free poison; for sure is good to drop poison gem in setup and use an other gem like fortify and also using 2xcurse but lose much life and leech rate, i really like the 100% extra leech rate from cherubim xD

Fyi, 100% extra leech rate from Cherubim is an useless stat on this particular build.

That 100% makes no difference since you already have 120% from tree and Ascendancy (only exception is if you can't get 10 leech instances going but your attack speed and lacerate x2 hit should allow for that even on single target).

Chest has other good stats but you can potentially change it to something else. :)

So I'm kinda new to the game and chose this build. So far I've enjoyed it but what's the purpose of Immortal Call if I have nothing to generate Endurance Charges. At least that I can see in the build.

It still offers a short period of immunity, quite useful for reflect.
You're basically immune to your own damage after the first hit on a reflect rare monster for as long as it takes you to kill it.

But yes, contrary to OP, I put Enduring Cry in one of my sockets, just to have a longer IC if desired.
What gem to replace? Maybe don't use the flame golem.

Tanks for the great inspiration. Ichanged the body armour to Brass Dome and use enlighten with grace and determinatio which makes the build much tankier... atm 31k armour
Considering that tommorow we'll have a new league where:
a) Starforge will be very expensive thus difficult to obtain for a long period
b) Nice buffs are out for Cherrubim's and Edge of Madness in terms of chaos+phys synergy

Would you consider this build as a starter one then? What are your thoughts on an idea of building around Edge of Madness with minor (if any) changes to gear/passives?

I don't think Edge of Madness would work well for the build, since the tree doesn't scale chaos damage and even with the change to Edge of Madness the phys damage still won't be all that good. That said, the build works great as a league starter, with Kondo's Pride serving as an intermediate weapon until a Starforge can be obtained. I used the build as my only character during Breach, and was able to get into red maps and farming uber lab with just a Kondo's, which let me put together enough currency to buy a Starforge at the end of the first week of league.

Going into Legacy league the big question is how the AoE changes will affect lacerate. If the AoE drops too much it could really decrease the build's clear speed, but we'll just have to wait until tomorrow and see how things look. If the AoE still looks good then I'll be using it as a league starter again.
Templar area "Amplify node" still worth taking after the aoe nerf on 2.6?
