GGG & Priorities

I'm glad to hear that GGG is taking action against the 'Dot spam'

Sorry but you and others like you need to be muted for spamming crap. It makes no sense whatsoever to create more spam in a channel when a bot spams crap. No matter how you look at it.. you are just as bad as the spam bots but worse. Worse cause you think it is justified in some way which it is not. Spam is spam no matter who does it. I don't want to see your spam,my dogs spam or anyone else's spam ffs in global chat.

And I don't want to see the spambots' spam or GGG's spam. And the dot spam removes the spambots' spam from view... Allowing me to play the game without dying. So it sure as hell is justified.

If chat is killing you, how about you turn it off? Crazy idea right?

If the dot spam is annoying you, you can turn chat off... Crazy idea right?

Couldn't just setup a quick macro for the "/clear" command could you? Nope, that would only help you and keep others from seeing your fucking ".". Gotta do it in an obnoxious way...

Too bad that if you are a habitual spammer they don't just permanently mute you. You can justify it to yourself all you want, the fact that you got muted just goes to show you're in the wrong. So by all means keep it up, that just means one less spammer in the chat for the next 24 hours. :)

Actually, I'm in Linux so no, I probably cannot set up any macros, nor do I have any. At the same time, neither seem the dot spammers or they wouldn't be spamming dots.

If there is one kind of system that allows more flexibility for users onces they know abit about it ( because using Unix without knowing a bit about it isn't the best thing, honestly ) .... that is Linux.
I have not tried but Imma go ahead ahead say it :
Of course you can use macros on Linux.

How difficult it would be is another story, but you don't seem to have tried at all so ...

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

I still don't understand why people keep this chat on when playing anyway. It all looks like spam to me. If I could turn off the messages from GGG, I'd turn them off too.

Oh I'm a step ahead of you, because of people like you I stay away from global chat.

There are ports of AHK for linux, as well as other alternatives. Something tells me you probably shouldn't be using linux if you don't even know how to find programs you want or to do simple scripting.

There is always google but that would actually require some effort on your part beyond typing a ".". :/
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

It wouldn't be the macros themselves that concern me all that much, it's the interaction with wine and the performance issues with PoE itself.

If Blizzard doesn't think it's cost effective to make a linux version of Diablo 3, what makes you think it makes fiscal sense for GGG to do it?

Blizzard doesn't think it's cost effective to make a decent game. If anything, they are literally living off of WoW and everything that has come out after it has been sub par for a reason. Have you wondered why so many indie game companies do in fact provide a Linux release to their games? Street Fighter V is still on its way to Linux (delays thanks to Volvo), the new Shadow Warrior games, Star Citizen has been promised a Linux release, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Witcher III, the list goes on. Rocket League, is just the last among the series of games that have made it to Linux already. If predictions are accurate, DooM 4 is on its way to Linux thanks to Feral Interactive, which along side Aspyr Media ports games to Linux and Macintosh. Even competitors to this game such as Torchlight 2 and Victor Vran are on Linux. There is no person that can validly claim that there is no business case for Linux, because the companies that have taken up this platform have already broken even.

Crap game or not, if Blizzard could make a buck doing something, they would. Nobody chooses less profit over more profit.
