You are free to be whoever you want, but please, refrain from imposing your way of thinking on others.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
i'm glad the issue is over, although with the worst possible outcome: a "case by case decision of allmighty ggg support". it really leaves a bad taste.

not that i don't trust ggg support guys, they do an amazing and hard job and i also (it's a sad thing that i feel the need to mention it) never ever want to scam other players by ripping them off currency).

thing is, although garland tried hard, the issue wasn't really solved. examples?

item flipping
it always involves ripping off newcomers from currency they could make, profiting from their naiveness. new players who sell an item well under price are left hugely dissapointed.

additionally, flipping is profiting from people under pressure of item storage. one should never make a profit out of other people's bad condidtions regarding the game.

map invading
can be alot of fun, i did it for a while when it was new. does no harm to the player affected, they just feel uncomfortable. maps were always on perma allocation so the guy providing the map had no loss.

disconecting while using/providing a service
how do you talk yourself out of these situations when you get paid for a service (used the service but didn't pay) and really just have a bad connection? with several players providing proof you got the currency but didn't deliver.

and so on...

i really thought ggg comes forward and explains what is allowed and what not. they failed to set clear rules for their game, the obvious solution being malicious players like garland continuing to test them out.

step by step. that's a fail, ggg!

age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
GGG wont comment on this... they can't. Bet they've figured out that this guy is just yanking our chains and are getting a good laugh out of everyone who fell for his story.
Service on (masters) could be easly changed by access other players benches.
u can set a price for the use (like we have on the permium tabs) also showing them on poe.trade as a service. so lvl8 bench for example for 10chaos.
That would be pretty nice tbh.
Services are currently based on trusting another player. As we know in the internet, you should not trust anybody in general, everything could be fake.

Flipping will always be in game with the ability to trade.
And there is nothing to change about it.
Contact support@grindinggear.com to report issues relating to the game or forum. Thanks!

At least in EVE you can pool some ISK for someone to hunt this fucker down with his "virtual, unworthy pixelate ingame property". But here, what can we do? Go after every of his trade chat message and call him out like a lunatic? There's no consequence! Hah, I bet this guy will sure find another way to ruin other's experience. "Why not? Just gonna brag about it harder so GGG will set my account free and change me name to whatever the fuck I want."

probably true, although i still think lead devs are still head over down in the code to find the win bugs which make gaming for many impossible to find time to comment on this.

heck, crashes even affect me now. never had real problems with game crashes since i started playing.

if his story is fictional or not never mattered, the effects do.

effects like ggg support stepping forward to state that (by banning accounts) they already take away microtransactions from players who they decide did violate some unstated and unclear rules of theirs.

while not harming those who don't have mtx and quickly move away items/curency they scammed from others.

how do you want to track down real persons behind accounts in a game with unlimited anonymous accounts? and no "reputation system" (yet)?

they cannot ban people by identity (only supporters can be banned effectively).

hell, they even force players to run the game on multiple accounts on virtual machines so you can trade while doing labyrinth runs...

In a game where there is no retaliation possible for the scammed to the scammer, this "policy" creates a very toxic environment.

"Steal and cheat...but not too much, k?"

What the fuck is that lol? EvE and other games like it are terrible examples because if I get scammed, I have real outlets to fuck your life/economy up (in game of course).

This policy by GGG only propagates players to VICTIMIZE other players.

I don't think I have ever been scammed or if I was it was for so little currency that it didn't matter. If I got scammed for multiple exalts that took a month to farm up I would quit this game in a heartbeat.
