You need Premium Stash for new trade system?
" The point is that since its a big game improvement should be available to everyone (just 1 stash for all should be enough). Is not p2w or is not gonna affect the game in anyway .... Everyone says that is a convenience but how about if the game would not allow trade in anyway without buying an MXT unlocking feature ? Its the same convenience because u could sell a shav for example for 5exa or u could vendor it for 1 alteration ,selling 10k shav will get u the same 5exalts so buying the unlocking feature is not gonna make the game p2w but who wouldnt buy it at that point? |

Anyone that already plays the economy is likely to already have premium tabs to help them organize their inventory.
Any players who found the existing system too cumbersome to use were not participating in the economy. If anything, this change will actually stimulate the economy, as a perceived barrier to participating learning how to create a trade post or use a third party automation program is now gone if they choose the convenience of a premium stash tab. Premium stash tabs have been available since closed beta. It's not like it's a completely brand new product that is only available in limited quantities or restricted to only portions of the playerbase. It's just the addition of an API that hooks into a pre-existing feature of the game. Someone who was free to play before this announcement has had no impact on their ability to trade. Someone who happened to like the convenience of premium tabs and already owned them now has an added feature, which may actually encourage them to now start participating in the economy. This is my situation. I never traded in the past because I found setting up a shop cumbersome. However, with the ability to simply rename a tab and set some descriptions on some items in game, I will likely start participating in the economy. If anything, I see this as beneficial in the long run. |

" I think this is the only concern that should be addressed. As a new player, you'd expect an established game to have an established system of trading. You're not a part of the game's history, nor do you have an appreciation for GGG's way of things. So if you're playing and find that there's an in-game trade that can be accessed via some money, or a less convenient trading option that can be accessed via third-party software for free, you're probably a bit confused and turned off to the game already. This is even more of an issue if the game ends up pushing out the other means of trading as obsolete, whereas the most efficient, widely used, and convenient trading being done is behind a [small] paywall. As a loose-playing on-and-off F2Player, I personally have no qualms with the system being implemented. But from a new player's perspective, it's a very odd situation being told you need to pay $1.50 or so to be able to post your items for sale within the game. It just doesn't make sense from an outside perspective, because a trading/auction system is a basic, core, and simple system that most games have from day 1 (for better or worse...D3...xD). I remember when I first learned PoE had no auction house or posting system and that it was worked through the forums; I was pretty confused and taken back. It just didn't make sense. The best solution I've seen is convert 1 of the initial 4 to Premium, but introduce it after a certain point is reached in the game (like, Act 2/3, or getting to Cruel) in order to deter bots and mass account creation. It introduces a new player to the system, makes them feel accomplished, keeps them feeling that free is an option, but ultimately markets the premium stash tab and shows the convenience factor of having multiple of them available to you. Alternatively, instead of a 'conversion', it could just be a retraction of the 4th and then reintroduction of it as a Premium tab at one of those stated intervals (as in, you're reduced to 3 starting out, but 'earn' that 4th, juicy, Premium tab). Anyway, the game is looking great from when I last partook in it, and am excited to try it again in the [hopefully near] future. I'm sure GGG will take into account all the factors and make the best decision for their community, as they usually do. |

I knew my 100 premium bad boys would be worth it in the end!
I can appreciate why non premium stashtab buyers may be annoyed but it is only pennies at the end of the day and we are getting ALOT for essentially nothing. Edit: I do however feel like one free premium tab per account is fair, although like it's already been said does make bothers etc life easier. Well, it appears reddit has (this time) a more civilised and constructive discussion than what's going on here, sadly. Of course this doesn't concern everyone, some people make really good points in this thread.
Seriously people, calling others "freeloaders" and their arguments "whines" or simply dismissing them because "You can spend 5 dollars, that isn't much!" just because they see that something might be wrong with the change is not the way to go. It's not how you make a discussion. Sorry for offtop. I'm not a native English speaker. Should you spot a mistake in my post, feel free to point it out. Thanks! There are just a lot more fanboys in this forum. Makes sense. Reddit has a downvote system to eliminate those terrible posts.
