You need Premium Stash for new trade system?

Well, it appears reddit has (this time) a more civilised and constructive discussion than what's going on here, sadly. Of course this doesn't concern everyone, some people make really good points in this thread.

Seriously people, calling others "freeloaders" and their arguments "whines" or simply dismissing them because "You can spend 5 dollars, that isn't much!" just because they see that something might be wrong with the change is not the way to go. It's not how you make a discussion.

Thanks, this had to be said. I can only agree. These people can't make a discussion because they are not able and don't have the foresight to grasp the problems this change could cause. They don't fully understand that this discussion is not about wether we should get a premium tab or not or the price of those tabs and the unwillingness of some people to not pay it. I guess it may take time until people realize how big the changes are that are about to come. All they can see is the convinience of not having to use a third party tool to list their items. I hope at some point they come around and see the big picture here.

Procurement is such a pain to use compared to this system. At the very least I'd like to see the feature tied to all paid tabs rather than just premium tabs.
Still promotes sales and doesn't shaft people that don't care about the pretty colours.

This 9999 times.

Also in your case, what do you think they should do? Upgrade all your tabs for free? Don't really no what your complaining about, if 6 tabs isn't enough for you how about you use acquisition instead = profit?

Just make the standard 4 tabs private-able and not introduce any kind of new pay to win features. There are probably plenty other common sense possibilities when you don't have a money-grubbing mentality...

So let me get this straight..... You want 4 fixed tabs for trading and you can't increase that number? So you are prepared to lose 2 tabs so that everyone is restricted? Some ALOT more than yourself, when other options such as acquisition is still available (currently)

I understand thanks, unless the bigger picture your referring too is global warming, then unfortunately you're lost me.

I don't "want" that per se. I'm just giving a hastily made up proposition for the implementation of this new feature, in such a way that it does not make the game "pay to win". One implementation that I don't necessarily want, but would prefer over the variant we currently have suggested in the news post.

P.S. or should have I said "more pay to win than it already is..."? :)

It's difficult to take anyone seriously that's claiming this new change is any 'more' p2w than previous tab benefits when you don't have to use it and can continue to trade with your full 16 tabs using acquisition etc. It's another option not a requirement.

I agree with you 100%.

I've exclusively bought normal stash tabs as well, since I never felt the need to name and colour my tabs in order to find stuff and while I am not exactly happy with the way this new feature will be useable, I don't care too much in the end - Acquisition has served me well in the past and I'll just keep using it.

I personally would just like to know the reasons / logic behind making it premium only, instead of also enabling all the paid normal tabs with the same functionality - anyone who's bought additional stash tabs (no matter the kind) has supported the game, why would you only "reward" some of them ?

I'd wager it is more difficult to take serious someone that's trying to claim that trading isn't a huge part of the game or that giving trading advantages to people who pay is not an "in-game advantage".

And by the way, it is a fucking requirement. Using a third party tool has always been a password protection hazard and GGG have made it clear that they don't care how your password was stolen - you don't get any refunds if you account has been compromised. To gate the only "secure" trading option behind money is disgusting, no matter how affordable it is.

I mean I have quite some tabs, so I don't really bother for myself.

But some full casual friends of mine would be really pissed if they could not use this feature at all I am sure. Already now, it is a pain to wait for them to sort their little inventory when they ask me what to keep and what not.

At start of open beta there were at best half as many gems as now, there where at max half as many uniques as now, no div cards. Chaos recipe is something I tell them to do. Not to forget jewels that didnt exist back then. Then you wanna keep all maps in the beginning.

From an economical point of view, I believe space is getting already short before ppl. get drawn into the game. One more tab wont make space plenty and wont replace a stash tab purchase of 6 at all. As well having one premium tab as a showcase and teaser would work best to show ppl. what they can do with them and to tease the into a purchase.

I therefore think one premium tab for everyone is defenitely the way to go: Either 3+1 or even better 4+1. When you use this one free premium tab for sales, the 3 that are left are not even enough to get things started.
I never said trading wasn't important in poe. Claiming trading advantage because of this change is wrong while other options are available. Your issue with being forced to use 3rd party sites and thus risking your account are legitimate, except you have 6 premium tabs to use the new system with, so..........?
