same here: i've only ever bought normal stash tabs as i thought premium stash tabs looked garish and dumb and not worth the extra $ :P

You are either a free loader who doesnt support the game you claim to love in any way, or you spend a whole 3 dollars to buy a tab. Wow just crazy, I personally have 32 preium tabs because I want the improvements they offer/will offer in the future someones gotta pay the employees who work for the company and keep putting out new content. Why not invest in the game you spend so much time on. Or yould rather spend 60 bucks on a 360/ps4 game youll play for a few weeks. Get a job and you wont have issues spending a little money on something you call a hobby or a job. If I was a kid even I could find some way to get my mom to buy me a tab if I wanted one. Better then asking for a 60 dollar game.


Im not calling anyone bums or cheap but come on its not much and it helps keep the game growing. Why complain you dont gotta use it if you dont want to the old ways been working fine, hell we dont even know how well it will work and Im sure improvements and changes to make it work better will happen but guess what someone has to work to put all that code in and someone has to pay that person to do it. Such if life nothing you love will ever be free, not girls, cars, food etc. Pay for what you enjoy if you dont enjoy it enough to invest 3 bucks maybe you need to find a new hobby or game.


Premium tabs allow you to color them name each one so you can organize your stuff easier, I love them and will buy more as I need them.

No, it's not. The problem is you might* eventually be forced to do that to trade efficiently. And that is a huge advantage over non-paying players.

Because being F2P and not being P2W is a promise. It has nothing to do with how cheap it is to buy a premium tab. And the question is if GGG will be able to keep their promise towards their community.

Now please don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that the changes they are about to implement will make PoE P2W. But there's a chance of creating a two class trading system in the future. One class, with premium tabs, will probably use a new software for trading and the other class will remain to use poe.tre with procurement/acquisition. But as the first group grows larger over time the trading for the second group will become more and more lackluster.

At some point the king (poe.trade) will fall and all the plebs without premium tabs will go down with it.

I disagree with assigning premium tabs to free accounts.
It opens the door wide open for easy abuse by gold farmers/bots/illicit activity.

As to the optics of the whole thing, I find it surprising people are all in an uproar over the addition of an API to a pre-existing, optional, feature that's been in the game since almost day one. Suddenly because there's an external hook, everyone is up in arms?

The sense of entitlement is nauseating.

Yup, that's precisely what I'm afraid of happening. And I don't think this would be healthy for the game, especially for new players. Imagine a newcomer finding out that they need to actually buy something for real money in order to trade efficiently with others (i.e not through trade chat...). They'll likely get discouraged and end up dropping the game.

Entitlement? What? How do you people arrive at those conclusions? All I can see here is people being concerned with the future of the game.

Cosmetic's and stash tabs are not pay to win in any form or fasion, they are a bonus you can choose to buy to look cool or store more items. Pay to win is buying things that boost your stats, or increase the exp or loot that drops because you paid for it. Nothing in poe is pay to win. and you know Im pretty sure everyone will get at least 1 premium tab.
