GGG & Kripp - Why?
I apologise if you think I am flat out attacking Kripp and GGG. Not my intention. Just curious to see the opinions of the community regarding the things Kripp said. If I hated Kripp like many of you are suggesting, I wouldn't have been watching his stream for the past few days :P
I would rather hear an honest opinion. Sure. I am just unsure if the comments made helped promote the game in any way. Just an opinion. On the other hand, he had thousands of viewers a day so hey...must be worth it right! Good to see your opinions and feedback. Guess we will be seeing Kripp again next expansion :P |

" Kripp has said essentially the same thing last time he streamed for PoE. It's funny a lot of our typical delicate soft minded people here still think GGG pays Kripp to do the streams... anyways Kripp is pretty straight forward with his "feedback styles", and people here get butthurt every time he gives PoE new contents less than 100% positive "feedbacks" but Kripp seems to be back time after time every time... The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.
Welcome to PoE. |

Meanwhile not giving alpha access to many streamers in the community. And giving it to some but not allowing streaming it... What the hell GGG?

" Like some other people have mentioned I think it was a degree of exposure/number of viewers thing. And whether or not he supports the PoE community he does still seem to support the GGG team by agreeing to do the stream. I'm not too deep into the streaming stuff but it seems to be a reasonable move. Exposed more people to the game and... well... If people were going to be put off of the game just by hearing this one person's comments at the end of a stream without having any background or looking up other PoE content online I don't think they would've enjoyed Path of Exile anyway. It's not really the sort of game where you can get all the information you need from a single source. I'd hope if people were sitting on the fence about Path of Exile that they'd be looking up other information. Looking about the passive tree from the main page, looking up unique items and skill gems on the wiki and maybe even browsing the forums and Reddit to get a feel for the community. Postscript: Playing a game so hard that you burn out on it is only a few steps below playing a game so much that you die. It's a pretty decent recommendation. Tell me again: Why is this even worth discussing? First a thread about Kripp gaining access to Alpha. Now an evaluation thread him gaining alpha access. Why do you care at all about this xD?

Who the fuck cares about what one guy says about the game? why should that turn you away from the fucking expansion pack? why should one measly persons opinion, make you say "HE SAID THIS ABOUT THE GAME, QQ" ugh

Streamer with 15k viewers who might not even have heard of the game vs streamer with 500 viewers nearly all of whom were probably going to play Ascendancy anyway, not really hard to work out the better option is it.

Nothing wrong with Kripp's statements. He calls it as he sees it
As far as GGG getting him to stream the alpha, that seems a little odd to me. It's been a long time since Kripp was really involved with POE. He's not really relevant to those already interested in the game. I can see the argument about high viewer count and exposure, and I'd rather see them go to someone like Kripp who has at least played the game rather than some clown like Pewdiepie* or his many copycats. But really, how much of his current Hearthstone viewership is really going to be interested in POE? But then I don't know marketing, and don't care to know. If this arrangement is working out for both parties, more power to them. *Disclaimer/Tangent: I don't hate Pewdiepie. He puts in a lot of work and I respect that. Nonetheless, he is generally a moronic clown on camera, and for that I do hate his content. I would never want to see GGG partner with someone like him. |

GGG should have given Mors permission to stream the Alpha. He's one of the more objective PoE players and doesnt get enough credit or respect.
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.
I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_- |

GGG transformed this game into easy mod fest. Only time Kripp on his stream been happy is when he died from reflect. Game became too easy for people like him even playing casuals. SO yea, GGG made this game easier and easier resulting in a boring experience for someone who played the version of this game way harder. Doesn t help this labyrinth thing seems to repeat itself too often and lack diversity. But this thread so funny... OP complaining streamer give opinion without lying? I like better knowing what people really think than listening to fanboy from australia who think all what GGG do is awesome.
