GGG & Kripp - Why?

New gamer genereration =>
-everything fast with no efort at all.
- Watch some ppl play and spam emote on chat instead of play....

Its so bad... I miss the good old Quake 3 time when ppl had skill and played game.

Kripp is a very well known player with a huge following. It makes sense that GGG would seek his support with a huge expansion on its way...but seriously? Kripp has not played PoE in such a long time and he is still given Alpha access only to finish playing and completely rip on the content saying it was horrible and not worth while.

That is actually a good sign for me that GGG is not forcing anyone "promoting" their game to say positive things only about PoE. That's awesome. Not like all these Youtube gamers a-holes putting out sponsored videos that are just giant commercials.

Youtubers that I watch put a disclaimer that the video is sponsored by the game company. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with doing a commercial that you get PAID FOR TO DO, at least as long as you add the "sponsored by" note there somewhere.

From a neutral standpoint (I don't know/care about kripp, nor did I watch his stream) it seem like a bit of a mistake to have let him play the alpha. Publicity is publicity, sure, but when when you have someone 'BIG' like him say "eh i won't be playing the game because it's not interesting"... That's not very good either.

Mind you, negative publicity IS a thing as well.
[s]only mindless sheep think labyrinth is OK to have in PoE.[/s]
okay nevermind labyrinth, fix dx9 blackscreen instead...
It's funny how fanboys want other people to play POE even if changes might be bad or questionable. It's always "POE is great and GGG is awesome and nobody should say otherwise". Disgusting.

Your 'generation' never existed. You played Quake with an extremely small amount of people who were interested in the game, and to this day probably still are. What you weren't seeing were the vast majority of people who would rather do anything else than play Quake, and those people are the ones watching Twitch streams.

Besides with games like Dark Souls and a ton of ridiculously hard indie games being wildly popular I just can't accept that people only like casual games today. Of course your PTA group is going to like candy crush, it's a mindless Bejeweled clone that interacts with their friends and gives them something to do while waiting for their kid's flu shot at the doctor's office, but those people never played games before candy crush, they just read magazines.

Are you sure you are taking a neutral stand point?
I don't know who Kripp is either, but I did watch his stream back when Act 4, I think it was act 4, was released and recently, since he had early Alpha access.

Unlike you, I take the logical approach.
It must have worked out for GGG last time they asked him to stream for Act 4, since you know, they asked him again. I don't see why it wouldn't work out this time.
