Hi, I'm your blind date Kripp...

-What's your real name?

Kripparian...

-I see... So what do you do for a living?

Oh I stream games mostly play Hesrthstone.

-Hearthstone isn't that a child's game?

No not really... Why?

I feel bad for Kripp honestly.

I believe that he really truly enjoys Path of Exile, but as he has elected to stream for a living he is ultimately forced to play whichever games brings in the largest number of viewers.

Twitch chat was incredibly toxic while he played POE, but kudos to him for actually sticking to his plans and finishing the 3 days.

I'm not hating on Kripp, smart guy for suckering people. It's all about money... He doesn't represent himself well but that doesn't matter to people these days. Self respect doesn't exist anymore in this industry when your followers act the same. I'm in the minority and there are so few you tubers that present themselves in a professional manner.

Professional fake fucks make everything worse on twitch. Just look at starcraft 2: In the beginning most stuff was done by passionate people in hoodies. A few years later they put uncomfortable nerds in suits and think they can get more viewers with that. But most viewers are passionate people in hoodies...

That's what I liked about Kripp in his former PoE time. He was real, he didn't change anything just to make more money. He represents himself extremely well imo. If I want to see real professionals I just turn on the TV.

No need to feel bad for him. Kripp does whatever he wants - he played D3 for a few days just 2 weeks ago. Kripp would rather stop streaming before doing shit he doesn't like. Besides I'm pretty sure he has earned enough money to make a living for the next 50-100 years. ^^

It is something people do not understand - don't try to fight press/reviewers/critiques. Nor try to buy them.

ggg provides the game, google the platform they base their income upon.

so ggg giving exclusive interviews to certain streamers or even let them exclusively spoil new content is not "buying them"? when the streamers' income is based on his popularity?

streamers are a double edged sword for companies, it's all ok as long as these kids like you.

Just let them take a look at your stuff (as soon as possible - preferably BEFORE release of your product), and listen what they have to say. And when they have something negative to say, PAY EVEN MORE ATTENTION - don't pretend you're not listening.

paying attention? move ascendancy to september for a rework because kripparian didn't like it?

there is a huge difference between having somebody review your product or let them do the promotion for it:

in the first case you invite them to alpha for closed community feedback, in the second case you let them examine your product publicly after you made sure they basically like it.

letting the guy responsible for the promotion publicly utter the xpac has huge flaws is bad, letting him publish he wouldn't play your xpac is a total promotion fail.
Kripp wasn't promoting the game.he was playing the game. And no, giving exclusive access to alpha a week before release isn't paying someone off. I'd like to see you pay bills with that if you consider it paying off.
So you want GGG to give access to people who are going to praise the game regardless of the games actual quality? No thanks... Just because HE said it's bad doesn't mean it's bad, and just because he said it's bad doesn't mean he's wrong either.

Lol wtf ??? can't he be playing hearthstone the same reason you play this fucking game? Some people play video games because they like to play video games... I know crazy concept for people who play PoE right (WAH playing video game is fun wtf???)

And btw he quit his "job" for 3 days to play PoE... maybe you should go tell your boss to go fuck himself because you want to play PoE for the next 3 days and see how well that works...
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.

I think he plays hearthstone so much because he saw strategy when others saw complete rng. He became one of the best at it and was playing on international stages in front of international crowds. He made the roster for a professional gaming organization playing hearthstone.

He set the curve in hearthstone, shapes the meta. Much like he did in PoE, but let's face facts, GGG wasn't inviting anyone to an international stage at an international event for a PoE race in the immediate future. It is something that comes from years and years of making connections and competitive focused gaming, and even still Acti-Blizzard is the little guy on the block when it comes to e-sports-esque competition. The big boys being Valve and I suppose Riot.
Hey...is this thing on?
