GGG & Kripp - Why?

Anybody can quote his word for word responses for the Labyrinth and Ascendancy Systems?

90% of his userbase nowadays are casual players that won't find PoE too interesting.

I wouldn't be to sure they won't find it interesting just because they have never heard of it before, but that is exactly the type of audience they were trying to reach. So I guess you just explained why they would use him.

GGG should acknowledge the new generation of streamers. At the very least they let lifting/ziggy reveal some upcoming content. Should have also let Ziggy and/or Nugi be the first to have access to the Alpha.

Why? With the possible exception of ZiggyD they aren't hitting the audience that GGG is after. ZiggyD, Nugi, and almost every other big POE fan that got in are probably very grateful they got to participate at all.

They wanted Krip to keep enough of an audience to make it worth his time. Had ZiggyD already previewed it few of the long time poe fans would have watched krip. Leading to him not getting stream revenue. Leading to him not showing new people poe. Leading to GGG getting fewer new people interested. ZiggyD and Nugi understand they have said as much on their streams. Sure they want to be first, but they know it's better for the game to catch a wider audience of people that have never heard of poe rather then people that are already playing it.

a successful marketing campaign is by definition something that the general public (in this case, kids) appreciates, if they don't appreciate it's not successful, [Removed by Support].

Thanks for the good laugh - sometimes the truth is simply funny! ^^

Thanks for the good laugh... lol PoE forum is the best.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.
Play heartstone get more views money>fun
don't go to twitch if you want to see people playing for fun cause most people don't play because they want to play ;p

What about that one guy we don't know thats playing PoE why isn't he in whatever this topic is about! gms on this game are bad and favor people who get more views! PAY TO WIN
Kripp used to be huge in this game, and I'm certain he played a big part in POE's early success. Additionally, he's a cool dude with tons of followers. He was doing GGG a favor and GGG was doing him a favor. I don't understand all the negative nancys in the forums, with all their qq'ing about things that have nothing to do with them.

I remember popping into his Twitch channel just to check things out since it's been so long and what I saw was a man who looked so incredibly bored and unenthusiastic. I'm not just saying this because of the thread, it's something I noticed first hand.

It is something people do not understand - don't try to fight press/reviewers/critiques. Nor try to buy them.

ggg provides the game, google the platform they base their income upon.

so ggg giving exclusive interviews to certain streamers or even let them exclusively spoil new content is not "buying them"? when the streamers' income is based on his popularity?

streamers are a double edged sword for companies, it's all ok as long as these kids like you.

Oh boy...
Of course they profit from exclusive reviews. They are doing it for the living - what did you expect?
But they can only get REASONABLE viewers, if they can stay as objective as possible.

Also - kid argument. You just lost the argument. :=) You have no better ways of arguing, so you try making my argument invalid, because I'm a kid, which I'm obviously not. Blind fanboys, on the other hand...

Just let them take a look at your stuff (as soon as possible - preferably BEFORE release of your product), and listen what they have to say. And when they have something negative to say, PAY EVEN MORE ATTENTION - don't pretend you're not listening.

paying attention? move ascendancy to september for a rework because kripparian didn't like it?

there is a huge difference between having somebody review your product or let them do the promotion for it:

in the first case you invite them to alpha for closed community feedback, in the second case you let them examine your product publicly after you made sure they basically like it.

letting the guy responsible for the promotion publicly utter the xpac has huge flaws is bad, letting him publish he wouldn't play your xpac is a total promotion fail.

No, there is no such difference. If you are making a fake promotion of a product you KNOW is bad, you're just a terrible person, who will soon lose audience.
Doing a review of a product on a channel as big as his IS a promotion.

You can whine all day that he wasn't masturbating to PoE on stream, but you know this is the truth.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
