GGG & Kripp - Why?
I am sure that over the past day or so, many of us have been watching Kripp play the Ascendancy Alpha on Twitch. Well today, that stream came to an end with some very interesting comments from Kripp.
1) "I won't be playing the released version" 2) "The labyrinth was just boring to me. I didn't enjoy it at all" Kripp is a very well known player with a huge following. It makes sense that GGG would seek his support with a huge expansion on its way...but seriously? Kripp has not played PoE in such a long time and he is still given Alpha access only to finish playing and completely rip on the content saying it was horrible and not worth while. Why would GGG put themselves in this position with a player who doesn't openly support the PoE community anymore? Opinions? Was it a good move by GGG to give Kripp access or has it pushed away potential players who are seeing the game for the first time or who are sitting on the fence? |

What about to think and make your own decisions, people?
I don't care what people say, I can make my own opinion. Last edited by pajingtonn#4403 on Feb 27, 2016, 5:15:15 AM

People find and play new games based on the way they are advertised and the way they find them. Do you think people are going to want to play this incredible game if a very well known player who has access to an Alpha version is saying that it is not worth playing?

Stop the hate already. His words were that he didn't enjoy the labyrinth that much but he really liked the new class system. He also mentioned several times that Path of Exile is fun to play and that he will continue to check the subreddit every now and then.

" 1)He wouldnt be playing anyway on start of the league, since he said already that he will play POE for 3 days only to see what is going on 2)Opinions matter and differ from player to player. As usual,Kripp will make a video explaining what he liked and what he dont. By giving access to Kripp,no matter what Kripps opinion, made some people aware of the game, even today was in the first page. Yes it was good marketing move,as it was back when he also didnt liked awakening as much. Bye bye desync!

Because both positive and negative feedback drive products to become better?
Everyone who knows him knew he wouldn't be playing release. He obviously does support the game seeing as he just spent 3 days streaming about 11 hours each. It will only push people away that are not capable of thinking for themselves in the first place...which wouldn't have played it anyway. |

Any publicity is good publicity.

This isn't a hate post kahzin. I am simply curious about peoples reaction to Kripps reaction and his involvement with GGG.
" This is fair enough. All publicity is good right? " I can't understand this view at all. There is a very good reason advertisement exists. People like to know about others experiences first. Look at how successful the Steam Feedback System has been. It is not about thinking for yourself. It is about researching a game to find something worthwhile and if you find negative reviews, especially from a well known player, then you will be less likely to play. Is there a reason Kripp wont be playing more? Part of a contract or he is just not interested right now? Last edited by Pocket_Medic#4756 on Feb 27, 2016, 5:24:48 AM

You guys prefer "bought" positive promotion from gaming sites or streamers to an honest one?
