Male/female versions of characters please, because ASCENDANCY.

Given GGG's timelines on this kind of thing I'm pretty sure you're more likely to solve this issue in a reasonable amount of time by seeking professional advice on your inability to play a female character in a videogame.
I have - at some point - decided that I won't be buying any more supporter bucks for a while, because it's just a game.

But I would probably buy character sex MTX.

Could be a foundation for introducing other alternate characters as MTX overlays, would solve the problem for everyone that just can't play as opposite sex for some reason, and it looks like it would create very little workload for you guys - beacuse all the assets are already done.

Unless your father has forbidden you to play female game characters or something, the only one preventing you from playing female characters is yourself. What is next? Skins that replace my bow with a wand because I cannot play bows? Skins that make the hair red because I cannot play blondes or brunettes? Skins that replace my character with a wolf because I cannot play humans?

GGG has refused to allow an option to turn of rain because it breaks immersion. Now, how immersion-breaking is skinning your character with another character? Or, as ScrotieMcB said in another thread about female/male versions of characters:

I actually think this would be a bad idea.

Path of Exile is a role-playing game. You start the game by picking one of seven roles. In my mind, that's not seven avatars, that's not seven appearances, that's seven characters, each with their own story, including writing that has been specially generated for them.

The more roles you add to the game, the more diluted it becomes. The less unique the (female) Witch's story becomes, or the (male) Templar's. You get the feeling you are no longer playing the Witch, but merely a Witch.

It's immersion-breaking enough that we can have our characters wear all sorts of silly things, but to go one level further, change who they actually are... frankly, I'd prefer a game where such things are impossible.

It is not going to happen. Certainly not the re-skinning as another class, and likely also not the female version of the Marauder or the male version of the Scion.

My suggestion to you, Razis: Either explore the twelve male sub-classes in depth or get less sexist.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Are you planning on introducing the missing male/female models for their respective classes any time?

It's incredibly expensive (so many animations required), so if we did this it'd have to be as a microtransaction. We don't believe there's enough interest in alternate-sex skins to justify that microtransaction yet.

I can only speak for myself.

I wouldn't buy it.

I'm sorry I gave you bad advice.

If you are really passionate about your ideas you should use all 3 medias.

You could try stalking as well. GGG might take your picture and put it on the interwebs though.

The only reason I'd really like this is for a female shadow (think assassin from Diablo 2--though maybe with longer hair). Beyond that:

Male witch: Lanky McSkecthball?

Female Templar: ATTACK OF THE MUSCLEBOUND NUNS!

Female Marauder: Maramoa.

Female Duelist: ummmm? Drawing a blank here.

Male Ranger: Legolas!

Male Scion: Long haired stuffy pretty boy?

Female shadow: would SERIOUSLY consider, especially b/c assassin ascendancy seems to be the best for crit voltaxic.

I see the comment on your thread "plz no moar legacy items" has gotten under your skin and now you're trying to push it the other way around, as in "you must all be kids here" - which is funny because again, we're both grown ass men arguing on the internet about a videogame character sex change.

Male wants to play a male character = sexist, k.

honestly laughed beacuse it's true. Surgical accuracy, I applaud you sir.

Some people obviously want male/female versions of characters, some people are arguing that this will break immersion (?!) because they think PoE characters are fully fleshed out, and some people are just trolls.

Given that the first group is in the minority here, I guess we can all agree though that it ain't gonna happen anytime soon... even though it could, and it did, in another game.
"Then go play it then"
I totally would, if it didn't suck major ****.

See you guys in Ascendancy. Came up with 3 new builds for male characters in the meantime (check it Char1983, three times as many as you did since you started playing) - so in a way, you guys are right.

I wish all the best luck to the next person that will try to push it.
I don't feel the need to have genderswapped characters. I would prefer GGG spend time and effort on 3D skins of uniques or something.
We fight to delay the end because it's the means that matter.

Did you comment on that thread? Didn't see that, sorry.

Kind of, I guess? Not sure. You prefer a male character because it is male. I guess that is sexist? Not really an expert on the field, but I would think it is.

Maybe just separate the character selection from the class selection? So, you pick your class as before, but then just pick one of the existing seven character models. That would dramatically cut the artwork costs.

Of course it does mess with the game lore a bit, but maybe make it available only "completing" the game once, i.e. Malachai normal.

I'm none too bothered, I play zoomed out all the way and under all that armour I can't see what model it is, apart from the Templar's bare knees :)
