Male/female versions of characters please, because ASCENDANCY.
" No because thats a balance thing. Maybe they could change it so you can buy something to apply a class onto yours, you start for example as a templar but can apply shadow MTX so you look like, sound like and are a shadow except the tree stuff. I guess I can get behind that but not sure how hard that would be, it is just recycling the same stuff we have now, animations, sounds, ect...... Hum.... https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

I want this too, very badly. I have a simple suggestion (unless already suggested) that should be easy to implement and essentially wouldn't cost GGG any resources.
Just like skin transfer, GGG could make an equivalent for player models. Say you're playing a Scion and want to change the model (and voice lines) to that of a Templar. Use the MTX, choose what character model you want and there you go! There should probably be a reusable version of this MTX. Last edited by Ymirok#5932 on Feb 26, 2016, 12:54:48 PM

" Literally no balancing needed. I meant that you can look as one class, but actually start from adjacent area of another class, with subclasses, quest rewards from the class that you start as on the passive tree. You essentially are one class, but look different (and hear different quest dialoque, etc.) Example - you pick a templar, but you start from a witch area. You get her subclasses and her quest rewards. Mechanically, you're a witch. So in terms of balance nothing changes, you just look like a templar and hear templar dialogue instead. |

" Exactly. Elegant solution if you ask me; requires very little effort, no new assets have to be produced, solves the problem for a lot of people, generates revenue. Looks like it should be reclaimable for sure, but could be split between different classes individually (so you buy a separate mtx for each class that you want to use as overlay). |

" Yeah I thought you meant something different. If its just appearance obviously that doesn't require anything, but the way it was worded seemed odd. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" Solution: Choose the appropriate character class. I don't like what the Duelist looks like. Now I might still do a build with him cause I think there is some cool potential there, so I will probably just get over my dislike of him. I might find the looks too bad still, then I will play something else. Solution found. You can still do more interesting builds with the male character classes than you will ever finish. @ Skin transfer: Please don't. Just... doesn't fit any lore at all. And looks wrong. " I'm sorry but it seems like you have one character total... on softcore... so how would you know? Not a duelist either. How does the ability to mechanically act as one character and look as another hurt you, again? Lets assume I accused you wrongly and you made a ton of builds, you just deleted them all. You just said you could potentially think of something interesting for duelist, but you don't wanna play him. You said you would probably get over your dislike for him or just play something else if you can't. You obviously see the problem here, so why are you against the solution? Wouldn't you feel like the game has more to offer you if you wouldn't be driven away from possibilities that it presents to you? Honestly I don't get 50% of people that posted on this thread. There is no harm that can be done to your experience - but still you will bash an honest request that apparently you do understand, to some extent. Why? Bottom line for me is, some people would really appreciate that. It can be done with very little effort, as suggested above. It will bring revenue. It won't hurt anyone's experience. |

" Sorry, it's an issue I do have. Looked up your post from earlier, and we meant the exact same thing, though. I sure don't know **** about coding, but by common sense it seems like it would be pretty easy to execute. /edit: There is also an added benefit of making a groundwork like that, they could potentially release new characters as mtx without impacting the mechanics at all - or just minor changes to existing ones like hairstyle or PANTS. In a perfect world? Sure, why not. Not a fan of taking up time and resources to do this though. More content rather than rejigging every character model in the game...for..nothing really?

I find it disturbing that in such a fast paced game where you are constantly spamming the screen with 50000 flashy spells at once there is people that care about caracter models.
I mean, you can just put on heavy armour/MTX and mute character sound and there's no way in hell you could tell classes apart. And if you are refusing to play a class (denying youself from a whole spectrum of experiences) just because you don't like the model/voice really doesn't paint a good picture about you personality and commitment to this game. Balance is an illusion, exile.
