Male/female versions of characters please, because ASCENDANCY.

/edit2: easy solution with mtx that lets "mechanics" (starting point on passive tree, quest rewards, ascendancy classes) be overlayed with existing character "model" (skins, animations, quest lines, voiceover)

GGG could make an equivalent for player models. Say you're playing a Scion and want to change the model (and voice lines) to that of a Templar. Use the MTX, choose what character model you want and there you go!

change it so you can buy something to apply a class onto yours, you start for example as a templar but can apply shadow MTX so you look like, sound like and are a shadow except the tree stuff.
I guess I can get behind that but not sure how hard that would be, it is just recycling the same stuff we have now, animations, sounds, ect......

There is absolutely no reason for GGG to not do this.
I suggested this long ago, and it has remained a relevant (and extremely easy to implement) potential addition to the game ever since.

Suggestion:
Create a MTX for each "Character" - Character = (Model + Story + Dialog + Voice).
Let's call this MTX "Cross-class Character: <insert class>"
Purchasing the MTX unlocks that "Character" for all classes permanently, account-wide.
Example:
1 - In the character creation screen - I highlight a Character - let's say the Short-haired Blonde (Ranger). The character comes forth and performs its animation while I hear/read its story - no change here.
2 - For each character I highlight, there are 2 outcomes:
a) if I did NOT purchase the MTX for this Character, the only Class I can play it with is the default (in this case, Ranger), so the Class is chosen automatically. and the others are greyed out.
b) if I DID purchase the MTX for this Character, I get to choose the Class I want to play it with. No class is greyed out.
The UI element for the Class choice would probably be on the TOP of the screen.
3 - I can choose the name for the character at any point - no change here.
4 - Once I start the game, I am essentially playing the Ranger Character (Model, voice, dialogs and story) but with the chosen Class (starting items, passive tree starting point, ascendancy classes and quest rewards).

Read properly and you'll realize that:
A - There are NO loose ends in this suggestion. No complications.
B - New Assets required: ZERO.
C - Coding/Resources required: Minimal.

This is actually one of the easiest ways for GGG to make a lot of money out of MTXs.

/original post below:

Make male/female versions of each class please.

Some guys like to play as males exclusively and some galls like to play as females.

It could be circumvented in the previous instances of the game when passive tree was versatile enough, now with ascendancy classes (especially the scion) it's not the case. Been playing for 1500+ hours with a range of different characters, all of them male and all of them a different build. Now it just can't be done in effective manner.

Do it GGG. It's important to some people and now you're locking away huge part of the game for them. Call me sexist, don't care because it's BS - some people just need to connect to a character they are playing, and it's near impossible if the sex doesn't match.

You may not care or understand, doesn't really matter. There are people that need to play this way, and if you don't do anything you will loose that part of the market.

/edit1: Make it an MTX if you have to, doesn't matter. Just give players an option. If you think people won't pay good money for it you are simply wrong, because they do pay good money to get a chance for a ******* wolf pet on release or a glow on a weapon. I know I did, and I know I will.

You do realize how much work that would require? New models, animations, vice over, quest texts, ect.

And for what? A small, superficial feel-good improvement that has no effect on the game play at all.

Have you heard about mtx? Because what you described is the very definition of it, and that's how they make money.

The cost as an MTX would be prohibitive.

you're not the one to talk since you're obviously not interested, it's about the people that do want it and how much they are willing to pay.

Seriously though? Quest texts are a lot of work? Use models for item placement and animations from other chars, problem solved. only thing you need is textures, which is nothing, and the voice over which would be expensive IF it wasn't near-nonexistent for the player characters.

Now compare this workload with the resource requirements of any other MTX.

Even cheaper option, super cheap in fact: let characters start from adjacent areas on the passive skill tree.
Honestly I think they just prioritize more resources to something more important really.

Yep.

If he wants to single handly fund such an MTX then he can claim its "easy" they have said in the past its not and requires a significant amount of time, resources and energy to do. If they put a number cost associated with it and told it to him, we would say you know what nevermind....
