And it's not about if a League adds harder mechanics or difficulty, it's about content and feel/atmosphere. Yeah, you could skip Beyond, but the possibility of summoning Old Gods by grouping kills is really cool. Or Nemesis where each Rare mob felt like christmas, and you kept hoping for a Corrupting Blood to adopt a devil-may-care risky attitude! <3

I like how Talisman has a collect/mix n' match/trade element that allows you to build towards a truly OP item as a goal.. And it has interesting fights, some really cool new Skill Gems (the League isn't all about the Mechanics,) etc.


Dude...really...onslaught and anarchy were the FIRST temp leagues EVER for the game released June 3rd 2013. Open beta came out in January of that year. The vast majority of PoE players were not playing in the closed beta like myself and other fortunate players. To say it was not new is complete and utter horseshit.

The total game experience at the time the league is running is what makes the leagues memorable.

Kaoms needed to be nerfed by 500 hp so that Belly of the Beast is just straight better?

I mean come on...a game where mjolners sell for 2ex now is a boring as game to play. I'm not even talking about the talisman mechanic of possessing monsters. Corrupted Talismans are pretty lame, the uniques in the league are pretty un exciting and this doesnt help the fact that hunting down these monsters is borjng and will most likely not give you a great reward.


The mobs dont even rush and fight tooth and nail to pick up dropped talismans like promised and the rarity of talismans impacting the next tier is super lame.

I still belive we did not get what was promised. That is the Main problem here for me.
Introduction of Talisman stated the mobs would RUSH a dropped talisman and be drawn to its irresistible force.

As it stands now, a mob might occasionally if not busy fighting consider picking up a talisman!
The way it was advertised I thought atleast a screen or 2 worth of mobs would rush from all direction at 200% of their normal speed and go full berserk mode trying to pick it up and get you killed.

Also, Talisman mobs are to weak. They die like regular trash.

Yes please. I want to be terrified of the whole game. That is the sign of a good temp league to me. Ideally you want powerful rewards but the game is much deadlier so you need those rewards to not get crushed into dust.

Give me a league where the game is punishing me from the moment I walk out into Terraces. Paid leagues, come on, faster.

I am biased though. Talisman felt boring to me but I also have so many hours in the game that anything is going to feel boring to me that isn't addressing core issues with the game.

I also felt bad for anyone trying to play Talisman who didn't have stash tabs.

Lol'd. Its not to bad on my end. I do own extra stash tabs but talismans easily fit in the gaps of my jewellery tab here and there and take up a 1/3 of it in total at most.

Stone hammers on the other side. 3 tabs and coutning.

You right, and i must add that farming RARE talismans just so boring. I would like better system for farming them or upgrade system to make useless talismans to something better. Mechanic where you need different type talismans (high preferred rare) to update next tier very confused and boring/time wasting.

I would like to see something better and fun, then just wasting my time and not get rewarded.

Talisman is trash, but then again, that seems to be trending in POE. For the most part I ignore the talismans altogether, save to pick up the odd rare one that drops, and then pop them into a stone altar whenever it occurs to me to do so. How is that not a lot of fun? For now the game kills time till the nicer weather gets here, and I can move back outside. I find the game to be very much lacking in the rewards department, it leans so heavily towards the grind, whatever reward I may get pales in comparison. It just seems like the focus of the game is to encourage players to buy stash tabs, which is a shame, really.
To keep this thread from being an echo chamber ill throw in my opinion as well.

I am having a blast. There has never been as much to do or collect as there is right now.
I play solo self found though to savor each and every moment. It keeps me from getting bored, always have a carrot on a stick to chase.

Maybe try that, or take a break, whatevs. Game is still very fun imo
