Talisman beating Torment as most boring league !

SO after that many sunk talismans, finally got to rigwald. My rewards and incentive to start this shit all over again:



Fuck this league and this game. This was sort of a test league for me to see if I'll be back permanently for Ascendancy, but there's no way in hell. It's still a boring grind game.

The alternative is something like D3, though. It's great fun for two or four weeks, tailored and guaranteed loot that seem really fantastic when you've played PoE for a while, but that's just like being locked into a candy store after a grueling diet. Great the first night, still good after three days, and a nauseating nightmare after a fortnight.

I still find PoE more long-term engaging, with a stronger "pull back in" factor, than other games. The punishing nature of it (broken up by also immensely rewarding moments) is what fuels the emotional attachment to it. It's richly satisfying when you're hitting the high, and murderously enraging when you hit the bottom.

I never experienced PoE as boring. It's always been an emotional affair to me. Enthusiasm and euphoria, or frustration and resentment, but never boredom or indifference, for me.

This is PoE. You see alot of old players come back and build bank for 4 weeks, then the league slowly dies.

Trading is already slowing down.

Well, i tried HC Talisman.

It was my first HC experience. Man it was awesome!
Got myself a witch to cruel, got bored, rolled a marauder.

Alas my marauder died, but i had tons of fun with it! Deleted it and started playing anew in normal Talisman.

Have to say, it is damn fun!

So much stuff happens in one instance.
Master might occur, Lock boxes, Vaal Area, Talisman monsters and talisman shrines!

It's a great addition to the game.

I REALLY hope they will add it to normal league, with same frequency.



Because... man... farming that ledge and dumping your entire tab of talismans into shrines is so damn GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

I have to say that after playing flashback then darkshrine temp leagues that talisman is just as boring as warbands was.It would be great if they added a taste of those 2 temp leagues to talisman.Im not saying just easy 20Q's just more things to do andd look forward to.All talisman is is a long drown out rng mismash.Also there needs to be a way to upgrade white/blue talisman's to a rare one.

It's unfortunate you don't realize why. But it's pretty freaking dope.

I'm having a great time and personally my best league in terms of currency gain and I suppose ladder ability (reroll kinda hurt my push but eh).

It's bad for my build and I'm unable to sell it. Thus it sucks. I do know it could be very good for some builds (int based whispering ice), but seems no one is playing those builds or at least they are not in a position to buy such a talisman.

After 625 sunk t1 talismans, I'd rather get something more substantial then an "ammy I might be able to sell if I'm lucky."

That's right, but as we all know GGG never gonna make it.

Talisman is one of the best league so far it's mechanics will be a great addition to the core game.
While Torment wasn't my favourite league I remember the small league after while they haven't brought up yet the tormented spirits yet, I missed them very fast and realised I loved them so much more than I thought.
