After 4 years, you guys still don't get that Talismans will be massively underwhelming and that they will be nowhere close to good rare ammies?

Talismans can have the same mods as amulets. But they have better implicts. The only problem is that good talismans are going to be super rare.

I know all of that.

But I'm willing to bet you that 99% of dropped amulets will be underwhelming.

Talismans cant have IIQ or high crit multi is something to keep in mind but this is strictly a standard concern.

99% of drops is underwhelming, 99% of amulets is underwhelming. And 99% of talismans will be underwhelming. Nothing new. This is how game work.

Simple answer, potentially 8 mods instead of 7.

The talisman implicit picks from a different pool of amulet mods. If you manage to chain 3rd tier talismans to summon Rigwald, you have a chance at a Talisman with 2 Implicit mods +3 prefixes +3 suffixes. So thats an 8 affix corrupted rare.

I will assume that both of the implicit rolls can come from the corrupted pool as well since the items are all corrupted.

Potentially you could get a +1 curses and +4 max block implicit above the normal 6 affixes(which are drawn from a newly expanded pool) or a combo of new implicits that are exclusive to talisman for example. The higher level area you summon Rigwald, the better the 6 affixes underneath may be.

Talismans seems like a bad option, especially when i think about some of the builds i had in mind that require huge amount of dexterity on amulets, hopefully its an early april fools joke and they come up with a better idea.

There is no reason to think that you cant get a 4th tier talisman with 30 dex as one of the two implicits.

What doesn't change fact, that it seems that you will in most cases want to use talisman over amulet. What is quite fail.

He said "rip amulet in meta". No, amulets won't be out of the meta. Just because you want one, doesn't mean you'll be able to get your hands on one
