Rip amulets?

Finding/crafting a good amulet is way easier than finding a well rolled Talisman since these are always corrupted.

Does it matter ?
I don't think so. I'm a poor casual and will prolly still have amulets for the next 2 years, but I don't care. The mechanics sound interesting. I don't think I need a talisman to be able to progress ... |

99% of taismans will be bad and there will be less talismans than amulets
Making talismans corrupted so players can't change them isn't big thing. Small amount of rare amulets is viable for exalts/blessed/divines. It just further reduce amount of rare talismans becasue you cant alch them. I doubt there will be white and blue talismans better than rare amulets. Talismans are just another way to get better gear. And they are going to be expensive because there will be high demand for good ones. So often it will be better to buy good rare amulet than expensive talisman. " Players always want to use better gear, and will probably almost always want to use good talisman over good amulet. And yet not everyone run in legacy kaom or legacy shavs. Talismans will not kill amulets. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. " Problem is that in end-game you wont want to spend cash on semi-good-pick amulet. Almost in every case anyone will try to find good talisman to buy. If talismans with good rolls wont be worth 10 times the amount of same amulet, then everyone will be hoarding to buy talisman. Resulting in: Very good amulets are less desirable (not worth selling), because every richy rich will try to buy only good talisman. It destroys one branch of market :P But w/e things change. Still. No need to go very far.
Farming the game you'll drop corrupted rare amulets, and you will reroll those 5 by 5. There also will be freaking unique amulet that may be BiS in some builds too. Atm roughly half of our amulets are for chaos recipe so... So yes, except wearing better than 2.5 affixe citrine amulet next league. Last edited by galuf#4435 on Dec 1, 2015, 8:15:25 AM

" It does destroy one branch of a market, however it does build a new branch. It's just a little bit dissapointing GGG made talismans as amulets. It doesn't really feel that special after you realize that a talisman is just a corrupted amulet with a stronger implicit. I think what actually would be more exciting if GGG reduced the amount of affixes that can spawn on a talisman and made an additional slot for them in the inventory. That way, we would still have the amulets, and talismans would be a little extra thing equivalent to 3-4 points on a skill tree. Kinda a letdown... |

" yeah totally, 6xt1 legacy crit multi 20 all stat onyx amulets are going to be trash and not worth selling because everyone wants some rag tag "this is how it dropped" talisman right? come off it. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" And? Richest people will always try to get their hands on best in slot item, having or not having talismans change nothing. Considering the fact that getting a good talisman will require significantly more effort than a good amulet, most people will continue using amulets until they reach certain point of wealth. If higher tier talismans can only be combined, then you'll need to clear on average 125 areas just to get single t3 talisman which might not even be rare. If that's the case, the price of talismans will be ***. |

" Change, not destory. And it is hard to predict how big that change will be. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |
