So, apparently GGG did not want to implement a new inventory slot for talismans and decided to make talismans as amulets. Since talismans have more powerful implicit compared to amulets, this makes amulets less powerful as an end game gear. Of course it might take time to get a decent talisman to replace a good amulet since talismans are all corrupted but from my perspective when you hit an end game 85-90+ lvl talismans will always be more desirable and expensive to obtain as an end game gear compared to an amulet. So rip amulets in meta?
I really would like to see the first talisman that is able to beat one of these amulets:
German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!
torturo: "Though, I'm really concerned, knowing by practice the capabilities of the balance team."
top2000: "let me bend your rear for a moment exile"

The new duelist passive makes spell block gear a bit less crucial.
We don't know the full implicit list but imagine something like 30% physical damage taken as elemental and combining that with taste of hate and lightning coil.

Talismans = 2.1, Ascendancy = 2.2
We don't know what'll happen between Talisman introduction and Ascendancy class implementation.
"You go on pretending that you own the universe,
And we'll all be here watching as you're falling down to Earth."

I hope not next 3 month break without long league ;o
"Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms."
What doesn't change fact, that it seems that you will in most cases want to use talisman over amulet. What is quite fail.
You'll want to use a talisman in many cases, but you'll have to get a well rolled one first. Which probably wont be that easy.
Actually, a lot of builds rely on current amulet implicits to shore-up their off-stats so they can use support gems. They're now going to have to use item suffixes or adjust their pathing to pick up those +30 stat notables.
Talismans that are straight-up better than rolled amulets are going to be extremely rare and expensive.
