Slayer Tip was my runescape name back when i was ranked 3rd globally in the skill "Slayer", i was uber famous and people came to me for help, until my account got hacked and i couldnt recover.. dark times :/

Max is my name, but it was below the lower limit for character length for usernames. So I added TheLimit to get to ...the lower limit.

Alisma is the genus name for water-plantains. I'm a biologist so I use taxonomical names a lot. I don't remember anymore since I've used it in one version or another for ages but I probably just flipped through the register of a botany book and this one sounded nice. Sometimes the i gets replaced with y for, uh, "fantasy" reasons. :-)

" Mine has a loose connection to Runescape as well. My character name was MonopolyMan due to a huge fascination (obsession?) I had with the board game at the time. My character was dressed as Rich Uncle Pennybags himself with 99 Construction being my first. :) I quit RS when I saw it heading down the P2W path, though my character had 90+ all stats except thieving at 87, hunter at 88, and farming at 89, iirc. I found League of Legends and had a rough time finding a username that wasn't taken. Decided to translate it from RS to LoL and incorporate "legend" into the theme. I picked up Path of Exile looking for a long term replacement for RS as LoL just didn't fill that same void it left. At the time, I was exploring a ton of other games, so I kept my username static between them assuming I'd get around to changing it to something more fitting at a later time. I established myself here and never got around to doing so. I've since changed my in game tag on LoL as well, mind you. Haven't quite found a unique identifier I'd like to go by yet. My username has very little to do with who I am now. I made it up when I was 17 and coughing up bong hits of some good nuggs. I thought viciousnugget was a funny play on words that only myself and my friends would understand. That was half a lifetime ago and I have moved on to being a responsible adult since then. I keep the name because it's original.

My username probably says nothing about me. I found it after browsing online dictionaries while looking for an appropriate name for my lightning sorc in D2. Then someone in D2 (it was already long after D3 release) recommended me PoE. I didn't expect to stay here for a long time as I used to play only during my holidays and the game didn't seem anything I'd like to play, so took first name that came to my mind. Now I really like it.
Character names are the other thing. I often judge people by them (first impression, it's called :p). This causes I am never eager to sell my items cheaper to people with immature/offensive/infantile names and generally avoid partying or chatting with them. On the other side, it's cool to meet people with smart wordplays in names or names revealing their owners share my interests, for example chars named after my favourite books' heroes. |
