[Reddit discusses forums] Chris has now posted

Read some of the Reddit thread. People there are claiming /r/PoE is more positive. I don't see it, unless one considers organised and targeted hating at some people to be positive.
You have to be realistic about these things.

ledditors are delusional
Yes, it does seem to be a good place for people who see reality in a certain way. I suppose the voting system encourages that.

rather lie about our real points of view and just blindly say whatever the mass is saying to farm dem upvotes yo
I should go there to farm popularity. I can see the strategy:

- I am a 1337 HC player but I also love and cherish SC, we are all unique and beautiful snowflakes
- I have GG gear but I'm totally not being smug about it, I regularly help others and give stuff
- Reddit is the next best thing since sliced bread
- Charan is Evil
- Chris is God

Did I get it right?
You have to be realistic about these things.

It rather seems to me that people of the reddit or official forums have the same attitude towards each other : focusing on whatever bad aspects they see, and amplifying them tenfold, without trying to find the good aspects.

Both forums have merits and drawbacks, so rather than try to dismiss the other, we should be focusing on our own shortcomings to make our forums better.
Not to worry, I'm very liberal. I try to be flippant to everyone :D

They could add a screenshot function to the game that sends the SS directly to the GGG servers so they can't be modified. Maybe limit # of SS per account stored that way so people don't overload them. Old screenies would be deleted on uploading a new one once you're at cap.

"Verified" screenshots taken this way could be considered hard proof of shenanigans.

They could add a /report function -similar to debug (and add a limited qty per account as you suggest) which would send the screenshot and some system information to the GGG server. They might need to require a PM to support from the same player with the report # to investigate.

Then again - if this eats up valuable support time and costs too much, it could drag the game down from its full potential.

If GGG is OK with it, they could have an upvote/downvote name and shame section on the subreddit, and allow a link to the section (but not the post) on the PoE forum.

I don't envy GGG on the handling of this type of issue. It's like being blindfolded on a pogo stick and jumping around in a room full of delicate toes.

If GGG really does want to implement a voting feature - I would think they would need to:

1) stop the practice of moving posts - and rather allow them to be on multiple forum subsection listings instead.

2) Create a few testing sub forums and see how it actually plays out.

In any case, as GGG does post on Reddit, I would think this forum should have a section that links to those posts. Maybe something like the GGG Tracker does for the official forums and Twitter.

d) I want the forum to eventually have a reddit-like up/downvote system. It'll solve a lot of issues.

Please no, comment tree is cool but upvote/downvote system is crap.

I was active reddit user but after realizing how bad is up/downvote system because it create closed and toxic community I stoped being active.

It is funny that previous thread was deleted, seems like heavy moderation is true. haha :D

Just to clarify, Tom from support confirmed that the thread was deleted at OPs request.
