Griefing

Just do the quest by yourself or only do it with friends that you know...
IGN: ScareKrow
It's one of the best quests.
First off a disclaimer, I am not knocking the developers in the following, merely pointing out what apparently is the case. It is their game, of course they can do whatever they want.

The developers seem to confuse 'cut throat feel' with griefing behavior. They are mixing PvP elements into an otherwise PvE situation/game. If you don't understand this, or if you don't agree with it, then playing solo is highly recommended.

Outside of the griefer enabling (or PvP enabling if you prefer) portion, the quest is probably the best in the game.

The problem is new players not understanding that this 'griefing' option is 100% fully intended by the developers. It is exactly what they want and nowhere have I seen any statements by any of them that would lead me to think otherwise.

IF what you said is true, then why can't I kill the players that chose to help Oak or vice-versa once we leave that area?

Because we don't have a cut throat league yet?

Wow, the amount of whine/game-to-hard threads in the forums are reaching levels that make the whole gaming community look retarded and brain-dead.

I disagree. I think that it is actually:

"
Players like the OP make grieving even possible (and fun i have to admit :D).

that reflects poorly on the gaming community as a whole. Anytime you have someone whose idea of having fun is trying to make damn sure someone else doesn't, he brings down the entirety of the gaming community.

Obviously, but then why would the quest even have a hidden pvp option? Just for "lulz" ???

I like it, but it could cause issues because new player didn't consent to such actions. OP might not be new, I'm not trying to suggest s/he is, but I am suggesting it is possibly a good thing to fix for the upcoming new players that come everyday.

inb4 "read the quest nub" response after what I just said.

It doesnt reflect negatively on anyone its part of the game. Its not their fault you take this game so seriously you cant laugh it off and just keep playing. no one is ruining your fun. your doing that all by yourself with that attitude.

Killing a dude's HC character sounds like ruining fun... for the sole purpose of trolling/being a sadist.
