Australian Gateway Latency Issue

So since last night both me and my friend who live within 20 minutes~ of each other have been having an issue with our latency to the Australian gateway.

Usually we get a consistent 16ms and lockstep is amazing. But for some reason since late last night the ms has jumped from 16, to 150ms and its consistent which is the weird thing. Nothing has changed on our end in terms of connection, bandwidth usage etc. it's feels like the game is connecting us to a different server but still displaying Australia, because the latency is really consistent.

My mate doesn't mind to much, as it'll probably go away as randomly as it started and he's playing a build that desync doesn't really effect much. Myself however, I'm playing a cyclone build with around 180% movement speed up at most times...It's pretty much unbearable, the only reason I made the build was because of lockstep :P

Pretty much just asking, since last night has something changed on your end, or is there a current known issue to the server?

If it helps, we're from the south eastern suburbs of Victoria, about a 30-45 minute drive from Melbourne. Here's a screenshot of the consistent 150ms~, I don't have any of what it used to be, you'll just have to take our word :D

Just posting to say I'm having the same issue. Went from a consistent 15ms for well over a year to 150ms last night. Australian gateway. I live in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I'm with Optus btw. And yes - its so stable at 150ms it almost seems like its connecting me to the Singapore gateway or something but displaying Australia.

Same issue, I had normal ping (15-30) yesterday 4th August. Log on today and I have constant 180ping, I live in Brisbane and my ISP is Optus. From what I can tell this issue is only relative to PoE, running ventrilo with normal ping and LoL with 33ms.

Interesting...Me and my friend are also with optus. Guess we need to contact optus..cant remember if they have a forum or not

not just optus, i have cable telstra aand having same problem.

Same problem here. I'm in Sydney and my connection is actually more stable and has almost same latency with California gateway.

I always get 15ms ping

Around 24-48 hours ago something happened and now I get 150ms+ ping

Same problem here, steady 30ms until last night. Now sitting at 150-180

I'm having the same problem as well. Been getting around 40 to 50 ping until today. Was really unstable for the past three days or so for me. Today it was around 160 ping and spiking up to 400 ping every 20 seconds wtf... Using Optus in Sydney.
