Malformation Piety Boss. Are you kidding me?
Soo...i just join 2.0, basically I didnt touch Act 4 yet.
Soooo.....what will I do on a lvl 88 Ranger running thorough normal/Cruel difficulty Act 4? Well.... i swap out some gear for MF gear for loot, since I am kinda overpowered in these low lvl Act 4s, so why not extra loot. guess wat? I am still facerolling this two Act 4s in relax playing mode. It was all good until I meet starfish Piety. I was like wtf is going on?? She actually manage killed me with her beam lolz??? Seriously her beam dmg in cruel is like some merciless boss dmg. Imaging what kind of hell it would do to a lvl 50+ character. Last edited by Darkkrows#6635 on Aug 9, 2015, 9:39:45 AM

" i will agree with you matrixfactor. i also play srs. this boss is pretty annoying. i kill her by standing a little distance away from her so she can't melee and run around her in a circle when she use the laser. at the same time summoning skulls. eventually she dies. or i do. the death balls are hard to avoid but they do less damage than the laser atleast. it's like jungle valley boss and others that pose a great risk. i don't think it's worth it unless you have a strong build you know can handle them. they don't drop better loot than other bosses despite being harder. i think this is something to consider for the programmers. this boss should drop a guaranteed unique and map. then she can be hard. it would be a good risk vs reward ratio :) the charachter i use to kill her is flamingskulls_swe on warbands. that's my feedback. " While i don't agree with the loot buff you suggest , i do agree that the harder boss should have a better reward. i also think that these maps should be rarer then other maps of the same level. personaly i like the fact that there are harder bosses in in almost all map tiers. this allows people to do harder content even w/o having to go to high level maps. She is by far the easiest boss in the Belly with Cyclone! You just have to watch for her to raise her tenticals up and they will glow with fire because shes about to do her beam! And she will be facing the direction she is about to start it! With Cyclone once your behind her while shes doing her beam you can spin right on top of her and the beam doesnt touch you at all! As long as you dont spin out too far in front of her! This is where that + to weapon range and area nodes comes in VERY handy!
My COC build was a little more tricky because i couldnt see that visual queue but she seems to do the beam in about 10 second intervals and spins with the beam 3 rotations! Then theres plenty of adds the spawn to keep flasks on the ready! Maligario is WAY harder! There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. " Err... dude, we're talking about the lvl 76 map boss, not the regular Belly Piety one. I just did the map for the first time today. Level 89 cycloner, 6.2k life, perfect legacy Rumi up, Jade flask up, Topaz flask up with immunity to shock (not sure about the utility of this one though). Couldn't avoid her beam because she stood against a wall and all the adds everywhere, and didn't have the time to leap around. I died in 0.1s when her beam reached me :) Yeah, well, it took me 3 deaths to finally kill her... I guess I have to figure out what kind of damage she's really dealing, and get used to her patterns. In the same time, I'm really wondering how powerful the 77/78/79/80/81/82 bosses will be !!!!!! |

wel tbh she should never stand against a wall.
that realy needs fixing. |

" Atziri is lv 70. Uber Atziri is lv 78. Map level does not always correlate to the boss difficulty. GGG likes to make an occassional map boss way harder than anything else in the same level. Desert, Museum, Phantasmagoria, Orchard... |

I posted earlier before that it would be better to have a very high map drop chance (maybe even 100% for lower level maps) that bosses drop a +1. In addition to that bosses should be relocated to appropiate levels. That means no easy mode Oozeback Bloomback from lv 76 Dried Lake in 76 maps, it implies that those bosses should be 68-70 bosses while bosses like Phantasmogaria, Quarry, Temple, Museum get moved to high level maps. In addition normal monsters shouldn't drop 1 ups anymore since the drops from the map bosses would be enough. GGG could also make it that rarity affects drop rates more (for example you have a much higher drop chance if the map rarity was a rare one instead of blue one). Depends on if GGG actually likes the idea that to progress you have to kill increasingly harder bosses and if your build is unable to handle those, you won't progress to harder difficulties. This in addition comes with map pools being much easier to sustain.

" Voll from lv 80 I thought is really easy, Vaal Oversoul as well since you can avoid all its beams except the first one, but that one doesn't do enough damage to get you low. Voll does like 4k damage a hit on low armor ... his map version. And all that stuff is dodgeable as well. Malformation Piety is really anti melee since even het auto attacks apply a bleed that hits really hard since its corrupted blood and her basic attacks are really too strong for melee to comfortably handle her map version. If you play her ranged the fight is much easier you have more control over hatcheries spawning and don't get Piety's auto attacks. Rather a lame way from the devs to tell the player not to go melee on this fight. |

I dont have a build that can't kill her because all my builds can run in a circle.
