Malformation Piety Boss. Are you kidding me?

Can't kill her? Get better build instead of crying. Hard content is good. Malformation boss is good. GGG need to add more hard bosses not nerf hard ones.

Aha... can you tell me what have you expected when you decided to jump into unid Malformation? Some easy walk with a beer in your hand on a seaside? Or what?

actually no, not at all.
that's exactly why i did it (waited until i leveled to do it) and why i do ALL maps that drop magic or rare UNID.

i can run RF with -40% regen or minus max restistance. just use flasks and be fast.

i can even survive her ray-of-death (with mediocre gear, so this seems to be no big feat)

the only problem i have with this boss is the small room, that she huggs the wall and that she fills the whole room with balls you cant evade.

You can't beat this boss with skill (at least not with multiproj), you can only beat this boss with gear (=faceroll). Killing a boss in 3 seconds is no skill.

Note:
i beat her on various other maps but it is really tough if that map has dmg mods and she keeps hugging the wall. it is not allways possible to outrun the ray (as you may get stuck somewhere in the wall).

What do people think when they try an already dangerous boss UNID?

You know, Piety having multiple projectiles is not the worst thing you could be totally unaware of until entering the room, right? There could have been two Pietys in that room. Surprise buttsex! :)))

But yeah, she really shouldn't be allowed to move to the walls.
I really don't mind the damage or her going to a wall since u can dodge the beam with leap slam, lightning warp, blink arrow etc., what i do mind is her filling that small room FULL of rotating balls and not having where to do the DODGING, i find the atziri fight a walk in the park compared to this bullshit, making the room bigger and leaving the damage as its now would solve the problem while maintaining the challenge of this boss.
saw this thread popping up. i know why.

Last time i did this boss. I really tried to learn this pattern, but i rather do atziri than this hellhole. Unpredictable, impossible to read what shes doing next. Just a rip map. Skip from now on.

/corpse ran her, drops a arena map. haha

If you get 1-shot by the beam, get more defense. I have 1200 armor and no mitigation other than Fortify + a granite flask I brought with me, and I took 3500-4000 damage from the beam. That was with 0 damage mods. If have have high armor/End Charges/Arctic Armor/Lightning Coil/something else, you should easily be able to tank it even with damage mods, granted you have at least a decent life pool.
Immortal Call can be used since the beam is 100% phys. Skill like Flame Dash and Whirling Blades allow you to dash right through the beam without taking damage.

If you stand close enough to her when she spins, you have more than enough time to move, attack 3-4 times, move again, etc.

And people skipping her when they have mirrored items? Either their build is not suited for boss fights, or they're playing trash builds.

The beam is not 100% phys its Physical and lightning get your facts right.
And i assure you its not easy to react to this boss when the room is small she has frenzies and or is hasted what she will be if you dont wanna run every map fucking blue.

So please instead of telling us how great your build is get real. this boss is a fucking mess. If you are on the right side of the tree and do not have acess to armour you are pretty much screwed at this boss.

So it remains a skip for some people no matter how good you play it. Just because you succeed doesnt mean its perfect just a quick reminder.

Pattern? She shoots the rotating balls to where you are standing for a while. Then she stops doing that and starts lasering. Then stops lasering and starts shooting the rotating balls at you again. For each iteration of that cycle she activates 1 giant dick in the room too.

If you are ranged - stay at range and move sideways slightly to dodge each ball. When she starts lasering, use the space close to her to dodge it.

If you are melee - stay right next to her and move to another side of her to dodge each ball. When she starts lasering, use the outer space to dodge it.

It's really not that hard unless she moves to the wall. That's the only problem with this boss. That, and random surprises for the people trying her UNID. But they must like surprises if they are doing that.
This boss is not that tough if played rightly but tough enough for unprepared/ newcomers. I kind of like these bosses as they push players to take caution and act with planning which was not that much required pre 2.0. I have done this boss as Melee (Dual Wield Axe Cyclone marauder), as Caster (EB+MoM incinerate) and now as Cloak of Defiance + AA poison Arrow Ranger with very hard difficulty map mods (see image below).

as you can see in the image, the map has no life/mana regen, increased monster life + Damge+ AoE and the Boss placed itself to the corner. Positioning urself and avoiding damage as much as possible is the key here. Also having secondary defense like MoM (Mana Based) helps a lot.

Cheers
for your build these mods arent even slightly hard. in fact only the +24dmg affix could be considered "hard" and then again it's the only damage modifying mod which makes the map easy. the no-regen mod just requires you to use your flasks. if you consider this hard, well ... i don't.

you are a ranged poison arrow char. just stay away and cover the whole room in poison.
if you put your golem away you can very well position the balls in some corner and you should not be hit by the beam anyway. same thing with your cycloner (lol) and incinerater.
the adds should also die VERY quick with your build (+6L).

i don't know why people come in here when they have a build (and gear) that can faceroll everything and then try to call out others being bad at the game who chose another build and/or trying this boss with realy hard mods (not just one). just try to think outside of your box.

don't get me wrong here (as many already have).
i like difficult bosses. that's why i play softcore (temp leagues) and why i play un'ID maps. to have a challenge to push me to make my char better.
this boss (or better say the room) needs tuning so it is possible for more builds to acutally avoid her dmg. i can only imagine how summoners have to feel about this boss.
