Is this a surprise:
-desert -temple -jung valley -torture chamber all have bosses significantly harder other maps of the same level. I like the diversity of bosses and difficulty. If anything replace lol-ez game bosses (eg plateau). That being said if piety pastes herself on a wall it's super cheesy. " But all those are easily killable, with ranged build, at least. Desert - just spray AoE Temple - avoid facetanking lightning ball and get out of lightning storm. Or just facetank it 6 sec under Vaal Grace + Topaz Flask Jungle Valley - position yourself into a corner and spray AoE. No danger there, except when rares with some nasty auras spawn and buff boss. Torture Chamber - position yourself near a pillar, kill totems with AoE, run from multiple lightning warps. Crematorium - get out of Firestorm, dont stand on corpses. Malformation Piety not just deals absurd damage with her beam (oneshots 6k-life char with any damage mod) and Vortexes, but also forces you to run all the time without giving a change to actually HIT her. When she turns her beam, you run. When she spawns her vortexes, you also run. She has high HP pool, so only DoT builds (like PA) can kill her relatively comfortably. Again, what if there's double boss? Boss randomly walked to a wall? You die - that's what. Malformation's Piety mechanics actually requires a LARGE room with pillars, just like Torture Chamber's boss. You SHOULD be able to hide behind pillars to avoid beam, and you also need more space to avoid Vortexes. Also, FPS drops too much there. IGN: MortalKombat

I just abandoned my fourth Malformation map without killing the boss. I went searching online for tips and found this thread. I have completed other level 76 and higher maps without this degree of difficulty and frustration. I wanted to let the developers know that I think this boss is significantly too challenging.
I'll list the most significant issues that come to mind, in no particular order: — The room is small enough that I cannot run in a complete circle around the boss without running through at least one of the damaging, slowing spheres. — The boss can stand against a wall, making it extremely difficult or impossible to run around the boss to avoid the beam, especially if a sphere is placed anywhere on that side of the room. — Even with maximum elemental resistances, the damage from the spheres (let alone the beam) seems dramatically higher than damage dealt by other bosses of similar level, and far beyond the strongest non-boss enemies encountered in the map. — The slowing effect of the spheres exacerbates most of the other difficulties. — The room is too small, or the spheres too large, or the boss's location within the room too unpredictable. If the boss always moved to the center of the room before using the beam attack, it would be more manageable. I use a relatively health-heavy build with lots of health regeneration and four health potions. I use self-found items and am geared in mostly rares with a focus on HP and resistances. The Analytical Engine has no pretensions whatever to originate anything. It can do whatever we know how to order it to perform.

So nobody has tried just running up to her and killing her before she even attacks? You have a good 4-5 seconds which can't be said for almost any other boss.

" hello there. i am a melee ice crasher. attack her when she is using the laser. when she is doing that she can't use melee attacks. her melee attacks do a lot of damage. much easier and safer way to kill her. you don't have to worry about getting those big hits and bleed. this boss is fine. keep it the way it is please. |

Just did the map with multiple projectiles and she kept spamming the balls then when she goes in beam mode i was running in a small room FULL of rotating balls... ofc i ripped form the balls.

i did an unid malformation.
this map had temp chains and -40 regen and until piety i had no problem whatsoever clearing it. when i entered her room i noticed this map also had multi-proj. before i even knew what was going on this happened. ![]() also see how she huggs the wall (behind the resurrect). i think some of the balls already disappeared when i took this screenshot. |

" Piety in Malformation is just broken. Period. Just compare it with boss from Plateau, Bazaar or Precinct (all higher levels). It makes no sense to have such boss in lvl 76, while higher maps way easier. Either she is broken or the other bosses are. Note that I can do double boss there with hard mods with no issues so I kinda don't care about her, but comments like yours just makes me seriously angry. " Aha... can you tell me what have you expected when you decided to jump into unid Malformation? Some easy walk with a beer in your hand on a seaside? Or what? Back to the topic - I'm able to kill her running CI Chaos Incinerate build with Whirlwind Blades. That's pretty easy unless you roll some crazy stuff - that's why I'd never go to her on unid map.
