Hmm, 80% less burning damage seems like a lot. I could see it with something which is able to apply multiple ignites on a mob per second (Incinerate, Flame Totem, Firestorm) but not as much with Discharge, which if it ignites usually kills most mobs anyway but is not so good against bosses and uniques.

Will have to see how the ignite stacking works, but if ele prolif just repeatedly stacks ignites on stuff we could see some crazy damage. The -burn damage can be nearly offset by a searing touch and we can spec out of resolute technique as our crits will only apply status effects. I'm going to try and get this ring in the races for testing, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Not at all, Searing Touch is "increased" while this is "less". Basically the effectiveness of all the burning/fire damage increases from tree and gear would be reduced significantly. Also, until mid-level maps I only have problems dealing damage if I don't get an ignite on a mob or if there's too few mobs around, and the ring doesn't help with either. I'd love it to work for this build and hope you prove me wrong though ;).

Therefore you have to do at least 5 overlaps of prolif to make this ring good. Otherwise it is not as good as without it :)

Damn, was hoping for some crazy shit with this ring. I might still try it out to see what happens in the future though.

I'm using Searing Touch, Blood Dance, Doedre's Scorn and Mokou's Embrace.

I'm also using Ball Lightning in place of Shock Nova for curse on hit as I feel this give me more survivability.
