Arua combos that should not be!

The real question is why the hell is everyone complaining about this?! Have huge mmo games ruined the concept of a challenge for you people or are you just that retarded that everything needs to be in easy mode therefore you must be able to kill it. Seriously get over it, big deal you died cause the monster had 2 auras and was op. So what? Try again, perhaps pull out another strategy? Idk it just seems to me people complaining about op monsters have yet to really think other then " I can't kill it with a couple clicks so it must be op." Challenge yourself, have fun with it. Most of all remember that if you can't get past something, you can always come back to it later.

Can i just say somthing this game is in beta so ya theres gona be issues. If you are having problems with op monsters and its upsetting u to the point that u dont wana play then maybe u need to just log off and wait tell the full game comes out. Fact is i love a challnge and have no problem with this so called op mobs i wouldnt let a lil problem like that get in the way of something as nice a game like POE

They should up the Boss instead.

Boss are so easy kills.
Perm. Retired from this unforgiving land of the Exiles.
Self-impost EXILED.

As long as I don't see a Nightmare mode LEFE (Lightning Enchanted, Fire Enchanted) Lister the Tormenter, I'll be good to go ;)

Diablo 2 was prolific for having monsters spawn with absolutley deadly mods.

Titan Quest - Toxeus the murderer anyone? This randomly spawning guy was bruuuuutal. Oh yeah, and Dactyls..

It adds a certain flavour to the game. Without a bit of an enexpected challenge every now and again, life gets a bit boring.

So in other words, Man up! fight that unique of doom.

My main thought is that monsters shouldn't be harder then the bosses

Bosses are often, less optional.
Leave this in please. By the very nature of the game the bosses cannot be unbalancingly difficult like that because people would get discouraged and quit playing. Randomly generated monsters that are overpowered like that can be skipped by people who are not patient/skilled/geared enough to take the monster and killed by people who are.

Here we go, the casuals already begging for an easier game..

A person's skill is really not directly linked with how much spare time he has, casual gamers even sometimes get laid. ^^

hmm, casual gamers need not apply?

please let's not start the tired old casual vs hardcore debate.

Some only have time for a casual dip into a game, and, in many cases that makes ftp games all the more appealing.

I would say it very much depends on how often it happens, and at what level.

Casuals have default league, where there is little if any negative impact for dieing. (I don't know if XP loss on death comes into effect until later difficulties or not as I only play HC so I never use a character after they die once)

Casuals will see the insane mob, die, and have the option to rejoin the same instance of that area, or Ctrl+Click the waypoint/entry point to spawn a full new area that will not have the aura stacked mob that is owning him.

A hardcore player will see the insane mob, make the split decision of fight or flight, and probably not die (unless they chose fight prematurely) and they will feel the weight of those monsters, and it will break them or drive them to get better at the game.

I see no negative end to having these types of things occur in Path of Exile. Especially as a F2P game, no player has any right to complain of the difficulty or lack of difficulty in the game. It is designed for free amusement to any who would give it a try. If they don't like it, they can run and hide in Diablo 3. :)

EDIT: And if they die in Diablo 3, well, at least they only paid cash to get owned in one of those games. ;)

Hardcore Characters in D3 Inferno will probably be harder than Path of Exile, or at the very least equivalent to.

Ran into Healing+Mobs can't die :D

Most fun I've had in a long while..

I say the current occurrence, (very rarely), is perfect... really does keep it interesting.

@OP, you made it in the end, so cant be that bad.

And I disagree on "mob shouldnt be harder than boss".

Bosses structure the normal campaign and Acts and should be killable with some effort by most players, to not lock people from content.

Random unique mobs on the other hand.
You dont have to kill them, so if they are too hard, just go around. Hence I like it if some are really really tough and most players wont be able to kill it, there has to be a challenge somewhere.
