He/she/it did say that it only played 15 minutes though.

He/she/it clearly held back on full force do, i don't see any complaints about desync or the lack of shavronnes/kaoms/exalt/mirror dropping, so there is that silver lining.

Call it what you want but don't you dare use the word "bait" or you find a nice little message in your inbox

Not sure if people really care about OP, but thread was around lately. I made one about some HC adventures of mine not so long ago. Altho, considering what you wrote, this seems pretty obvious fishing trip. I'd bet on I_NO (sorry I_NO D-:).

This game has a horrible community.
Within my first 15 mins ingame by just saying Hello I get responses from elitist jerks.

No thanks.

Seriously wtf is this shit.. If you let some random jerk on the internet hurt your feelings so easily. Elitiest jerks on a multiplayer internet game is the least of youre worries. This deserves a toughen the fuck up tbh and im a nice guy and already you have pissed me off
I may be wrong and biting the hook, but OP may indeed be a totally shiny new player to the game.
in which case just reading through most comments in this thread, shows what a "wonderful" community we turned out to be.

I miss Open Beta.

maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but I felt like people back then could not be dicks in Global Chat, disagree and argue with you on the forum without trolling or insults, help you out in game and encourage you to help others...
as a community. a majority rather than individuals.

rose-tinted glasses off, maybe it wasn't completely like that.
but it was better than the current situation for sure.

if you are still here, JessikaTS, and still reading this - feel free to PM me with any questions you may have about the game, and I'll try my best to answer and/or give you a good place to look for answers.

Agreed on that. The sad consensus of most talks is that being a douche, because someone did not know about some sort of a "rule" in trading is justified. Even streamers and "top-tier" community members seem to agree on that. This is not a good thing for the game, because most people won't try to to bother with "getting into" community, when the game itself doesn't seem all that welcoming at the beginning too. I think this might be one of the contributors to slow community (if at all) growth. : S

Try playing on HC.

When I started years ago, i was indifferent, but when i tried HC the community was a lot nicer.

No idea if its still true as i stay clear of global chat most of the time.

Any game these days has a terrible community, I'm not sure what people are expecting to find.. like this haven of uninterrupted paradise where everyone treats each other with respect.

If you want that level of comfort, you have to go looking for it - you don't just trip over it. This is the internet, people sit behind their keyboard expressing what they normally wouldn't be able to in public.

If you're looking for a more moderated experience, try joining a clan which shares interests that relate to you. Put in the effort to find what you're looking for, jumping in globe chat where anyone can say anything.. is well.. what did you expect. That sounds harsh but.. well I got nothing I guess it's just part and parcel of the world we live in today.

There's lots of good and respectful players in PoE, and there's others who just don't give a damn.

Can't quite imagine an Exile saying "fug u fukin noob l2p u scrub hahahaha lmao".
No really, one has nothing to do with the other.
This game is far from being true Role playing, in terms of character-character interaction.

People being elitist about their game experience and treating new players like shit stops community growth. And what Charan said - we should be a little bit more welcoming and stop acting like it is ok to be a douche, because we are playing a game whom world is dark and cut-throat like.

And I'm not saying that we will ever be able to turn everyone in some kind of holy knights, by just typing shit on boards. I just think that we should not be advocating for acting like douche bags "because Wraeclast".
