You can also like mentioned above, turn of all chat forms that you like or simply move to another channel. Most people i know rarely visit global chats for example, there is simply no need once you got a bunch of friends to play with or a guild. Similarly, don't let the actions of a few reflect poorly on the game and it's entire community, some people just enjoy fooling around with new-comers.I don't defend that, simply stating that "some" people like that, but not all. It surprised me on starting the game that even the simple act of turning the weird spam on the left side of my screen wasn't simple to work out. I mean, sure, don't give us a detailed in-game tutorial because ?hardcore? but maybe a prompt to turn global/trade ON rather than have them automatically on and filling the screen with nonsense !
