General Discussion - Story of a duper - Forum

If that's actually how the dupe worked then I'm sure tons of people figured it out. I've done the method myself on accident...I had an item on my curse went to hit my item level macro and instead hit my hideout macro which now gives you an error message "failed to join instance." I hope this is fake I do recall GGG being very adiment that there wernt any duped items in the game (aside from mirrored items) around the time this was all going on. If this kind of dupe would work, than you would have been able to dupe with the instant crash, too. But you couldn't. Dude, that dagger is almost impossible to craft. It is is much more likely he is telling the truth, than crafting that through pure luck. if you think someone can get that dagger so early in the game, then you really lack the understanding of crafting odds. Plus he is banned. And there are people confirming him posting vaaled legacies (acuities, shavs, etc) in global chat. Also, are you aware of GCPman and walmartgirl during rampage? Those two were obvious dupers, only probably using different method. So yes, duping is very real. And yes, when you see such a dagger, it's a dead giveaway that there's some kind of duping behind. Thus GGG finally detecting him and banning him. He was extremely stupid, he should just continued doing this and getting rich through rmt, but got greedy. „I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“ „If they think I'm going to let them sweep this pizza guy thing under the rug...“ No mod action. It's easy to get 2 T1 mods on an item using alts/regals... then you have a 2 affix yellow item. You exalt it and if you didn't get the mod/tier you wanted you crash the server which rolls your item back and try again. Really would have only cost him 4ex and a few alts/regals. Like others have said GGG has never lied to us so when they say a dupe method did not and does not exist I tend to beleive them. Especially since the guy that started that thread could have taken screenshots with stacks of mirrors or et/ex in his stash that would help prove his story since I doubt any amount of botting/rmt can get you a full page of stacked mirrors in your inventory during a temp league.
