well sure but does that mean if the person would cheat in an offline version of poe would it bother you too when GGG decides same rules would apply (theoretically speaking)
and if no why ?
i can understand why it does bother people if cheaters use cheats to gain advantages over others i dont like that myself either, but when someone keeps to themselfes i really dont see a point why someone would care.
but anyway... sadly none of the QoL features will ever be implemented because the loudest to cry and fling shit like a bunch of monkeys are again those that focus on one aspect and disregard everything else and if thats an indicator like it was in the past GGG will listen to the few that cry the loudest.
You agreed the moment you made an account to hold high and accept certain house-rules GGG made up.
Sadly, "do not modify our game" was one of those rules, i know, a real tragedy.
ps : highlighting the currency drops is not really hardcore now is it? And this is a hardcore-rpg right?

Thing is, they wouldnt enforce the same rules on an offline game, because it 100% doesnt affect anyone else and it would be impossible to enforce the rules since the game would be offline and unavailable to them and anyone else for that matter.

I read that thread with much delight.
Makes the following very true: "People will play the way they want to play, regardless of what the gamecreators want. And if they can't get it in a regular way, they'll find another way."
So if GGG doesn't allow for optimisation options even, people will do stuff like this. Time and time again.
Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.

However, never even once did I ever think about using any third party program or something to 'enhance' my experience, especially since GGG don't want that. This is their game and we should be respect that fact more.
Some guy in that page complained about how unfair it was that he got killed by magnus offscreen becuase he forgot to turn on his HUD. I mean really? For real?
Did you ever trade? Using, say... poe.trade?
Cause, you know, that's a third party piece of software that definitely enhances your experience.
I'm not advocating use of the software, but I'd actually like to see GGG tell someone that turning off particles, or fixing colours - because they are colourblind!! - is cheating. The rest I don't agree with, but perhaps it's time GGG coded the very-very-often-requested QoL bits in so they can take away any excuse for people to be using this type of software.

Did you just call poe.trade a third party software?

It is 3rd party software in a form of a website.
Also it gives you extremely big advantage in playing economy and trade game compared to ppl that uses only ingame and created by GGG methods (aka not thrid-party') - forums and poe.trade.
Same with AHK, instant logouts, OBVIOUS streamers and top ladder players RMTing, etc...
But we should let it go - poe.trade is probalby main reason why this game still lives today lol. You don't kick a man when he's down.
All this trashtalk is totally hypocritic just like recent 'discussion' (and later removing game from Steam and apologies from Gaben for his moronic employees) about recent "hatred' videogame.
Hatred = Bad
GTA, Carmageddon or Hotline Miami with exacly the same pointless violence = OK.
yea sure... hypocrisy, stupidity and double standards. Nothing more.

Sure, poe.trade is third party, but its not a software that modifies your game like the one in question.
There is no software needed to use poe.trade, its just a website, like PoE Wiki is.
