I'd say I support understanding the rules to the game we're playing, and yes... the rules are that you can be an asshole if you choose to. I choose not to be. I choose not to bother anyone at all, or be bothered by them. That's my choice. Others want to play the game differently, and I support them in that choice.

You and your binary view. Good/Bad, Right/Wrong, Support/Hate, you get the idea.

And who are you to say what is good or bad, right or wrong, who supports and who hates? Not more than me, not more than phrazz, not more than Dirk, not more than Jaams, not more than Shags.

We only have quite raw points in common. My opinion isn't the same than Dirk or Shags, but neither of us three share your view. I applaud scammers and say you so-called 'victims' are no more than naive idiots. Dirk and Shags simply don't care.

I don't believe this. I've played thieves in RPGs. I've played Nazis in war games. Hell... I've played evil alien insects in Starcraft. Doesn't mean I adopt these choices in real life. You all confuse in life actions and beliefs with actions in game because you're have no imagination, I guess. This is a game. Actions within it are fair, so long as they don't break the rules. There is no rule against lying to people to get them to give you stuff. Repeatedly.

As I said (mind this is not my opinion,it is a psychological fact) morals are morals both in games and in real life. What holds people like you from behaving the same way in real life are just the real life laws and consequences.
Playing a role in an RPG pretending to be a thief in a PvE environment can not compare to actually rob a guy by taking all his currency in an actual online environment. You take advantage of his lack of game knowledge to steal his money. Plain and simple.
You can turn it around in your mind pretending you are doing nothing wrong. People do that. But don't pretend you wouldn't do the exact same thing if someone came to you in real life and told you"hey you can rob this guy, there are no laws against it".
Trust me, you would and you would brag to your friends about how stupid this guy was after the fact:P
