Is Vagan getting ridiculous now??

@all of the above including RagnarokChu: I'll repeat myself once again.
OP may have paid someone to level his masters. used global 800-whatever to party-power-level them. traded. got lucky... did a thousand things that make you "rich" and/or "uber-geared" in this game while not making you even a bit better at killing monsters, understanding mechanics or creating builds/linking gems.
yes, RMT is also one of the options. one. and if you don't have some solid-as-a-rock proof, accusing him of it is a form of harassment as well.

so again: when the game offers no risk/reward or progression and everything is just bloody random, you can't assume someone who has great gear is actually good at the game, and you can't assume someone who is actually good at the game, can ever obtain great gear. without using the "shortcuts" mentioned above, that is.

and again, absolutely nothing of the above is on topic here.
what is on-topic, is my initial claim that Vagan is a simple, dumb DPS check.
disagree? prove me wrong. without putting your damned virtual fists up.

1. He didn't "use paid to level his masters" because nobody pays to level masters. It's a free service were everyone shares their masters.

2. He wasn't lucky because he already literally lied on how he got the item (100%), stop being dense. Stop fusing your problems you have with the game by defending a person who lied and RMT traded their items. It is literally also impossible to trade/flip to a "free shavs" because even that requires a large amount of hours of >studying the game mechanics, the market and generally loving the game by using knowledge that other people don't have to make profits<."

If I am one of the few people actually who manage to trade/flip to 110 exalts (many hours and hours of studying then you would think) to get my shavs, why would it be too much to read a "how to use shavs" guide on the forums in 10 mins.

3. Harassment would imply I particularly going out my way to do harm to him. It is apparent that he is 100% clueless on how to play the game as while lying on how he got his shavs. Why would you need to lie that you "got it to drop on Dom in cruel." You could easily said you traded for it or actually farmed it on merc+

4. Your simple claim that Vagan is a simple "dumb" dps chest and the need to imply you prove you wrong, would imply that it is a "problem" in the first place. The entire game is a god-damn dps check like I said, mobs with regain or similar mechanics make them a DPS check. Some masters are a AoE clear check, some masters are a "how fast you can run" check, some masters are a tank check.

How much DPS do you think is needed to beat vegan anyway? I wasn't aware it was an extreme amount not achievable by a normal person.

It's a problem if in the first place that it is extremely unfair (like pre-nerf vegan) were people with very good gear and high levels have a extreme time going through it at the point were they should. Also with all of your posts you complain about "much of the post being not of topic" when you literally throw your personal blog about what you think is wrong with the game in every post.

and yes, people who respond to feedback by "l2p" or "link build/gear I want to make fun of you" - are most definitely trolls.
they don't understand the feedback, and subsequently use bullshit methods to try "disprove" what they don't understand.
some people can read, get the point, disagree with the point, and argue against it without insults or disrespect. trolls can't, and by definition don't intend to.

I already helped several player by improving their builds when they posted them, some was pretty happy and acknowledged their errors. THIS should be the way to go: ask help to other experienced players, accept critics and adjust your build/gear. OP just seems biased with his opinion and he totally refuses to listen to any criticism, from friendly and less friendly players.

Now, he has literally the best piece of gear in the game which grants the best feature of the game (low life) but he's struggling against some of the most basic game mechanics. My bet is that he has low life, low resists, low mitigations, an unoptimized gear, skillgems and build on top of a very poor game knowledge.

Actually his gem arrangement already proves the skillgem management; see:

1) rej totem in alphas???
2) main attack not in the 6link gear???
3) main attack with reduced mana???

His gear proves bad gear management: what is a Voll doing there????

Both of these above prove a poor knowledgle of the game. We're just missing the build part which very probably is not optimized or in worst case a total mess.

If we write "link your build" is because we know that it might have problems, not to troll him. How can we be helpful without a basic information such as the skilltree?

A total and unnecessary troll offence to all those that wants to help him even after his bashing, thx

I double shot him with 13k DPS ice spear for example :/ DPS is subjective to the build. But any mid optimized build with 5 ex of gear can take him with mid difficulty

I don't know, should i laugh or cry...

1) Occam's Razor was right again
Spoiler

(if you didn't notice, johnkeys, OP unintentionally "confirmed" how exactly did he get Shavs)
2) My gear was a show-off? LMAO
Can anyone please say, what exactly in that gear can be qualified as GG-OP? That random alchemy used on dropped 5L, or unimaginably expensive Cybil's Paw\Mokou Embrace?
Keep in mind that thread's OP have 6L Shavs, Voll's amulet and such when you (any of you) will compare our equip :D
3) Well, yeah, i don't know why am i still wasting time here... I had a lot more to say, but I really should go and do smth productive instead of that, sayonara \^_^

I respect your decision to not stick around, HarukaTeno.
I however, do not respect the manner in which your "final" post was written.

and no, OP didn't "confirm" how he got the Shavs.
he only confirmed his knowledge about the game isn't too good.
and again, I claim it's very possible for someone who knows less about the game than you, to be better geared than you.
possible, because that's a direct result of how the game's loot system and primary ways of obtaining gear, are. and I don't like what they are. and I want risk/reward and challenge-based progression precisely because I don't like what they are.

you did, however, make me Google "Occam's Razor".

wikipedia.

and guess what, you - and many others here - made more assumptions than I did :)
including one about how OP obtained his gear.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as for my own take on the manner: no I do not have a level 7 Vagan, nor did I fight him in a 77 map yet.
my first post in this thread states this much.
but I can recognize a pattern, fighting him in anything from Normal to Maps. one that leads to the conclusion, Vagan is all about DPS or bust.
other things in the game are too? yes. does that make Vagan's boring boolean design acceptable? no.
Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat
Shadow: That was fun
[Pre-emptive RBS] is probably not likely here, because:

OP would have to identify goals and necessary gear
OP would have to identify the amount of currency necessary to achieve goals
OP would have to identify a [Pre-emptive RBS] to obtain currency
OP would have to purchase said currency and go through the process of transferring it within game
OP would have to purchase said gear using said currency in game

-

This implies that the OP has a detailed knowledge of the items they are purchasing, and as such would have done some basic research on what they were trying to achieve. It is hard to believe that the person who went through this process would then end up using the gear they have gone to so much trouble acquiring in such an ineffective fashion.

Based on the way the gear is being used, it is FAR more likely that the drops were obtained in a purely RNG fashion, and have been thus been used in said manner because of a lack of indepth research into their mechanics and general build application.

Not really. People with more money than brains buy stuff all the time without a clue what it does/how it works because expensive has to equal good.

I suppose...

I guess I am looking at it from my point of view. If I was going to whack a few hundred dollars on my credit card to buy some in-game shit, I would probably try to make it worthwhile.

Hmm. Is there any irony in that statement seeing as I have just spent a couple of thousand GGG points on MTX?

Probably best not to think too hard about it.

It cannot drop from cruel dominus. If he would have decent game and meta knowledge he would have claimed some ripped HC player gifted it to him. :P

6s6linking is possible with little currency as a "noob" ofc but very unlikely.

If you don't have a level 7 Vagan then, why are you commenting in this thread? Your opinion that Vagan's design is boring and unacceptable is even less helpful than the l2p comments you say are unhelpful because they add absolutely nothing to the original discussion, that Vagan is ridiculous at level 7.
