Is Vagan getting ridiculous now??

For the record, NO I did NOT pay real $ for my shavs, it dropped for me while farming DOM in cruel, and I got lucky with fuses and the links, and the voll's amulet I got off trade chat.
Continuing, I am not losing to Vagan EVERY time, but he seems to switch up the attacks he uses EVERY time, and as for killing his minions, that is a hoot as they always stick to him like glue, and every time I stop to throw a blow he is right there with that outrageous cleave attack. Also, he DOES spam health potions, so beating him within a time limit is hilarious.
Also, as I believe I stated in my previous posts here, the floor in the room is almost ALWAYS on fire during this fight, and his minions exasperate this by throwing fire traps everywhere.

This forum seems to be infested with trolls who do nothing but pick apart anyone's threads that make the mistake of not praising every aspect of the game.

In any case, I may switch up my attacks when the upcoming 1.3.0 patch drops and we get a full respec, but until then I will avoid this forum like the plague kids, thanks for nothing!!

Looking at the gear and gem links that you posted in the other thread, I'm thinking that a few little tweaks here and there would make the whole process a lot easier for you.

What are your resists like? If the fire on the floor is bothering you or draining your HP/ES, then you might really need to look at whether its capped.

If you're not getting past the healing potion spam, or the change-up on the attacks are beating you, then it might simply be a DPS problem. Usually these can be solved pretty easy through some minor gear investment or gem link changes - and often can be done on the fly to adapt your attacks to the specific daily mission.

I have to admit to being a little intrigued at what the overall build direction you might be aiming for is. With a Shavs you have a lot of potential options, but without the funds to obtain some other mirror-level equipment, you may not be getting the returns you want.

Have you considered onselling the shavs and switching gear sets to make another build more viable? With the upcoming respec, now is definitely a good time to consider it (might be worthwhile not buying new gear until after patch drop though).

Anyways, the general consensus seems to be that Vagan is not terribly difficult, but definitely requires a gear investment and/or adaptation. People like johnkeys are in a tricky position because they tend not to be part of the trade culture - so gears can be a real pain in the ass. You don't appear to have that limitation, so it should be a relatively easy fix.

If I can offer one small piece of forum advice, it would be to drop the unneccessary bolding - you might find that it is contributing to people having a negative perception of your posts. I've found it is sometimes interpreted as the forum equivalent of talking quite slowly with lots of emphasis because the person you are speaking to is a bit stupid.

Anyways, don't give up (on Vagan or the Forums) I've had some cool uniques drop from his little fights. And the forums are useful for keeping entertained.

and yes, people who respond to feedback by "l2p" or "link build/gear I want to make fun of you" - are most definitely trolls.
they don't understand the feedback, and subsequently use bullshit methods to try "disprove" what they don't understand.
some people can read, get the point, disagree with the point, and argue against it without insults or disrespect. trolls can't, and by definition don't intend to.

I dont think you understand feedback either- its not your personal diary or blog to start a new thread whenever you cannot do something or when something is too hard or something is fundamentally different from your worldview

the last point is quite ironic.

you and op actually seem to have a lot in common, that's probably why you defend him.
when someone posts a qq thread about something being bad design/too hard/blah blah people initially try to help them and give out criticisms

inability to accept constructive criticism because of overinflated ego is your and op's problems.
for christ's sake, Ive seen you in all seriousness threaten to report a post that genuinely tried to help. if thats not disrespect or insult, I dont know what the hell is.

so at some point, when the op is dismissing every attempt to help him out while he has a build that just doesnt work in poe land, with amazing gear, people stop helping him. he doesnt want to be helped, he just wants to complain.

so then, yeah, people start trolling. because whats the point of wasting time writing posts if the person was, is, and will be posting qq threads without listening to help ? exactly

criticism isnt trolling. poe is a game of theorycraft first and foremost. if you have great gear and leveled your master to 7, people assume you know what you're doing. just like anything, poe requires time to put in in terms of knowledge about how the game works, in basic sense.

just like in real world, when someone tells you that you dont know wtf you are doing, this doesnt mean they're trolling. they're just not carebear or fake smiling in your face, especially if its your job to do something.

guy clearly lacks both knowledge and experience in poe and instead of trying to take advice all he does is insult people back and keep on qq. the only thing these posters are good for then is entertainment.

occultment vestments are 62 so it's impossible to farm it in cruel ~.~ Dom in cruel drop at best level 56 items.

Congrats johnny on defending a clueless RMT who has no idea how to play the game properly with a "legendary million exalt Shav that is so overpowered" who cannot out do people who can self found and beat vegan lvl 7.

Give it up bro, I tried using logic with him before and he called me a troll. He calls for basic respect in replying to people's posts, yet doesn't deliver on this point himself. I wonder who's the troll.

@grepman, I actually read your entire troll-justifying post.
my response, is you should just look up 2 lines and see nait2k4's post.
see how he approaches the OP's claim and offers genuine advice? that's all there is to it, really.

people who make fun and ridicule others as a form of "criticism", are at best anti-social and in most cases doing it on purpose. a.k.a trolling.

and as for "real world" well, people won't do this in the real world unless they want to pick a fist fight with you. good old Spartan approach to "solving discrepancies".
by trolling in the forums/online, you are thereby achieving nothing except the online equivalent of a fist fight. it won't help support your claims or counter-claims, and it will most certainly make you a prick.

@consca, this is a response to you as well.
I don't remember your last response to me, so I clicked your profile and actually looked it up.
"recent posts". page 2. nothing but "lel". trollface.png.

@all of the above including RagnarokChu: I'll repeat myself once again.
OP may have paid someone to level his masters. used global 800-whatever to party-power-level them. traded. got lucky... did a thousand things that make you "rich" and/or "uber-geared" in this game while not making you even a bit better at killing monsters, understanding mechanics or creating builds/linking gems.
yes, RMT is also one of the options. one. and if you don't have some solid-as-a-rock proof, accusing him of it is a form of harassment as well.

so again: when the game offers no risk/reward or progression and everything is just bloody random, you can't assume someone who has great gear is actually good at the game, and you can't assume someone who is actually good at the game, can ever obtain great gear. without using the "shortcuts" mentioned above, that is.

and again, absolutely nothing of the above is on topic here.
what is on-topic, is my initial claim that Vagan is a simple, dumb DPS check.
disagree? prove me wrong. without putting your damned virtual fists up.
Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat
Shadow: That was fun

John, I agree Vagan is basically a DPS check (then again, so are most of the masters' missions really), and that he's probably the least interestingly designed master in this regard, but your claim is off-tangent as well --- unless your Vagan is level 7 and you're having similar problems with him as the OP?

Cool story, because the last time I posted the "lel" was eons ago, and was in no way related to your posts. Page 2? Seriously? You know these kinda things can be checked, right? Thanks for slandering. Real appropriate of you to do that. trollface.png back at you.

Go read your beloved thread "let's talk about your responses to "I Quit because loot system" threads" if you really want to find out what was the last time we had an "exchange." Maybe you decided to bail from the thread and not read further replies, maybe you just ignored it, whatever you choose to justify it now.

If you really want OT, then any mission with a timer is a DPS check, not Vagan in particular. Vagan without a timer isn't a DPS check because he doesn't pot to infinity.

There are some easy Ways to handle or Tank harder Mobs. Most of them are with an Spell Totem. I use Spell totem- Ice Spear- Ele Prof- GMP at the Moment and it works fine. What happens with these Combination of Gems is simply freeze. Other Way is Spell Totem- Summon Skele- faster Cast.
If ranged Ice Wall works also fine. I do not get the Point or simply missed?

Really confusing is for me that failed at destroy Totems on Eleron Mission with

sure, my Char is mainly build up as an Tank but with over 50k DpS only get 1 Totem down to half Life before Time is over is sadly...
Trading DpS with Monsters for Loot will ever best Ratio!-)
Sitting in Town, flipping Items until all Gear is biS,
and get fastly bored from running Maps instead of grinding Upgrades is no Resolution!
you know your game is hardcore if people are throwing "u troll" bombs at each other but in a mature/not childish way (usualy)
