Tbh, I would never put myself into that situation of all in or nothing. This isn't the case in every 6linking attempt but people can and do go hard.

I've never linked with a 6l goal, only randomly got it going for 5l.
I hope for a 6 link when I am actually going for a 5 link. I kill a family member everytime I don't 6 link an item before 5 linking it

is that supposed to be expensive? If it cost 50 exalts it would still be the cheap option.

I was against the change in price, the mod just shouldnt exist, if it does exist it should be a price that a self found player can afford seeing as self found players are the only people who could have made a valid argument for needing the mod. 1 divine, 2 exalts, 2 eternals, all of that is a massive joke to a trading player.

Not everyone is a trading player though, so I dont see why we should balance the game around the top % of people that are good at trading.

If you are a good trader that can afford 50 eternals you are probably better off crafting a near perfect weapon. Some of us cant even afford 1 eternal, Ive never had one before.

Reread the post you just replied to, not everyone is a trading player, so the price should have remained 1 divine, that is what I said. The way you worded your reply suggests you think I said something different?

What I got from your post is that the mod is so good that the price you put it at does not matter, and that it should be removed.

To me, 50 exalts is probably too much & 1 Divine is probably too little.

This league I have found 3 Divines, 1 Exalt, 0 Eternals, 0 Mirrors (found, not traded for). I have made it to the higher levels (90) so far and I dont think its unacceptable for me to have a pretty good weapon at this stage of the game.

Elreons mod can get you at best a rare with 2 top tier stats & 3 decent non top tier stats. Its very powerful, yes, but it is nowhere near as powerful as a weapon could be.

Some of us want to play more than 1 character ever and I dont think going back to the days where you have to invest 1000's of hours to get a single good piece of gear helps. The way it is now its easier for people to try out many different builds that simply were out of the question before because of a huge cost attached to even attempting to try it out (that only traders/RMT could afford)

EDIT: Also note I am not even using an Elreon weapon because I still dont really have the currency, but being level 90, I could probably afford one if that is what I REALLY wanted to get.

The problem I feel with divines was that they had no real currency sink & exalts are more directly relateable to this type of mod, which is why I find exalts more appropriate than divines were.

Total cost was around 40-50 chaos worth of currency besides the divine for each

I would like to know how much it costs to craft the examples on the first page, are people rolling tyrannical then et/regal or just yolo regal? Surely it is not that easy to roll these two stats.

Maybe GGG should also change it so that three mods have to exist before the multi mod can be applied, so it is a little more difficult to take advantage of and a bit more rng based; seems a bit much being able to use it to stack three mods.

no, the price matters for self found players, who are the only players who ever could claim to need a mod like this on weapons. I too have found about 3 divines, 1 exalt and I have found 1 eternal so far in these challenge leagues. So neither of us have found the 2 exalts needed to use the mod at its current price if we were completely self found. Exalts are too random to make pricing anything with exalts fair on self found players, sometimes you get 3 in a day, sometimes you get 1 in 3 months. You can get a divine from vendoring a tabula, vendoring a 6 link from a corrupt strong box etc, for a self found player thats an important difference.

its way to close to be ok, the power difference is extremely marginal.

it never took 1000s of hours to get a single good piece of gear, and these are not good pieces of gear.





^ this is a good piece of gear, this can comfortably beat maps, this is my offhand n my self found hardcore char whos about lvl80 atm, made possible by the rustic recipe and the single mod crafting, which were both excellent additions to the game and allowed people a fair way to get "good" gear self found.





^ this is "very good" gear. These things are also self found, but you would need a little luck and maybe a bit of no lifing to find them? Debatable. These weapons can faceroll any level of maps easymode style.

We are not talking about good gear here, we are not even talking about very good gear, we are talking about absurd items. If we were even just talking about very good gear I would have no issues with it. This isnt build enabling gear, no one needs this gear for anything. This is the sort of gear whos existence is why we go play temp leagues where a balanced game exists away from the full retard of standard league, gear that outclasses any legacy unique by orders of magnitude.

Im all for build enabling, Im all for adding things to the game that make self found/casual play viable and rewarding, that is absolutely not what I am arguing against, this is not that sort of gear we are talking about.
