The seller you dislike so much is being lazy by just typing "Offer?" instead of "C/O is y, B/O is Z, what's your offer?" and you are being lazy by not typing "Hi, c/o and b/o for xxx?".

The flaw there is with xyz indexing engine, it should remove items from threads that haven't been updated for X weeks. And yes, finding your old thread and deleting it is an incovenience. It is also an incovenience for the buyer to actually check that the threads xyz refers to has not been updated in weeks.
