this build has significantly more manaregen/damage than before and AA will be ever more important for defense

I'm confused as to the wording of the patch notes:

"Shockwave Totem: This skill now counts as Spell Damage. Damage has been increased by 50%. Its duration has been reduced."

Does this mean it no longer deals x–y Physical Damage and only spell damage? Or both?

I am going with this. Only scaling spelldamage and going for a +1 +2 Wand with either spelldamage or cast speed. Run AA Clarity and 2 purity auras. This way I can potentially skip Hatred and all the uniques while maintaining more life and 20% chaos resist. Could also go crit with this if I get a void battery and restructure some points.

the damage will scale from any spell damage you have but it still deals physical damage (same way EK deals phys and scales from spell damage)

yes casting speed makes the totem do the waves quicker
Has anyone thrown together a low life shav's build? Pretty keen to try it when the patch hits. Not sure what's most optimal.
