A factor of inflation and why the economy is NOT WORKING

Buy low and sell high is the basis of profitable business. I dont get this thread.

Also yes, its easier to make money if you already have lots to invest.

Also these prices just stand as long as there is supply and demand, if no one was willing to buy at high price those items would just sit in the shop forever and the owner would effectively have wasted his currency crafting for nothing.

If it matters I dont waste much of my time with trading, not until we get new trade system.
Think the price is too high? dont buy!

Uh, well I need to upgrade four pieces of my gear pronto and I don't have the luxury of just not buying.

You people have totaly unreal expectations. wanting gear with 6 T1 mods. how spoiled are you ffS .


If you have gear with 4 T 1 mods and you "need" a upgraded something is very wrong. What content are you doing ? have you exported your character into Doom and need to tank shotgun blasts to the face on nightmare mode ??

You can beat this game with all blue gear and a 4 link. One 4 link that is and TBH with the recipy to get 1 + ele gem damage on a blue item you could probley beat the game with a 3 link , no 4 link ... all blue gear.

The other thing that is bugging me is that some of you folk seem to think that gear better than yourse should always be for sale , even in the top end. Why is this ? will you ever have gear that works or is it never be enoughf till you have 6 perfect T1 mods ?

Can you actually prove this? If this was actually true there would hardly be a market at all for any yellow drops.

Also most people are concerned about just getting good gear. Most people I know aren't even asking for GODMODE gear. Also yeah you NEED to upgrade gear once in a while. That is how games like this work or they wouldn't be centered around gear or crafting or trading.

By definition trading with anyone means you're trading with a botter. Just with perhaps a couple degrees of separation. The raw Eternal Orbs wouldn't exist on the market without it.

Yes, a guy did a let's play thread about it before. The hardest issue is covering all the three major resists since the Archon Shield nerf. Resist auras would probably be needed there and here.

Killing Merciless Dominus is just a matter of understanding the game's mechanics. The majority of the damage Siege Mode Piety and the touch of gawd will be physical, so you just need to use a couple granite flasks. Which are like "I don't die" cheat codes.

And of course you can stunlock bosses with maces. Atziri excluded of course.

Then why is there a market *at all* for anything other than blue gear? Unique? Why do even the BEST, top 1% players of this game use all yellow items with uniques?



I'm going to make a guess and say that you yourself don't use all-blues as well.



I have a very strong molten strike marauder build right now at level 82, but I *know* it wouldn't be able to survive without the current gear I have which I worked long and hard for. in the end, you need good stats on gear to survive even with a very solid build.


fact of the matter is, and everyone knows it, you need good (note I'm not saying AMAZING) gear for end-game content in conjunction with a good tree build.

Hmm, I guess I can understand, when you reach such stage where you only want tier 1 then it will be costy.

It could be half solved by increasing drop rate of higher currency to make crafting more acessible, but is it really fair to the people who already built up fortune before that? I think it could be done, but very tricky to balance, I say give compensation to those rich people with such an increase so they do not feel shat on.

Guess that would be really taxing though, checking everyone currency and then we'd have to know what is wealth... maybe it could just increase the number of currency items for everyone who has them by like 1/5 or so? well comparable to the increase in how common these high tier currencies are.

It would have to be with a big temp league update, so it does not affect the currency in stashes in new leagues.

Best solution I can think of right now. Wonder what rich fellas around here think about it.

Eternal orbs are the problem.

The game needed the yolo exalts to create mid-high crafting results. With Eternals, players keep going until it's mirror worthy so the second highest tiers of items are never crafted.

Your ranting is laughable. Yes you can beat this game with all blue gear but you pretend there is nothing to do after you beat the game. Go do a Rare 78 map in blue gear and see what happens. See how long you last with Atziri or even better Uber Atziri. If your goal in this game is the finish merciless and quit then sure gear means nothing. The rest of us who actually play something more difficult will always be looking to get better gear. Its kinda the main point of this genre...
