You people have totaly unreal expectations. wanting gear with 6 T1 mods. how spoiled are you ffS .

If you have gear with 4 T 1 mods and you "need" a upgraded something is very wrong. What content are you doing ? have you exported your character into Doom and need to tank shotgun blasts to the face on nightmare mode ??

You can beat this game with all blue gear and a 4 link. One 4 link that is and TBH with the recipy to get 1 + ele gem damage on a blue item you could probley beat the game with a 3 link , no 4 link ... all blue gear.

The other thing that is bugging me is that some of you folk seem to think that gear better than yourse should always be for sale , even in the top end. Why is this ? will you ever have gear that works or is it never be enoughf till you have 6 perfect T1 mods ?

This thread has degened poorly ( shocking i know )

Your ranting is laughable. Yes you can beat this game with all blue gear but you pretend there is nothing to do after you beat the game. Go do a Rare 78 map in blue gear and see what happens. See how long you last with Atziri or even better Uber Atziri. If your goal in this game is the finish merciless and quit then sure gear means nothing. The rest of us who actually play something more difficult will always be looking to get better gear. Its kinda the main point of this genre...

Exactly. Gear is almost the entire point of this kind of game! I love getting better gear, everyone does because when you do do those rare 78 maps you're sure as hell not going to clear them well with crap gear.

But hey, I guess that is me being "spoiled".

I bought 2K alts today from one guy, on packs of 640 at a time. After the second time asking him if he had more and he answering affirmative, I clearly saw I was buying alts from a botter. I stopped there and bought no more. Who the hell has more than 4K alts on his stash ?

Uhm.

I've had over 5k alterations in my stash at one point.

Please report me for botting, case closed.

There is no way anyone can have more of one type of currency than I expect without being a clear guilty botter.

Is it really that surprising that someone on the Standard League might have a ton of alterations.

Ha, aren't you the guy who commented on my attempt to craft boots? You made it sound like I was making such a bad decision because crafting is sooo hard. Yet here you're making it sound like its so easy and "profitable". A bit contradictory..But I am one of the few in the middle..making conscious feeble attempts at crafting because..it's fun?

FYI I spent 14 eternal/exalt attempts at a 3rd res & movespeed. out of those 14 attempts I got no resistance rolls whatsoever, and 20% movementspeed on the 14th attempt.
Read a few pages in and I would personally like to thank the OP for posting this.

As a result, I have learned a LOT about crafting - something (as a relative n00b) I was hoping to get into eventually.

Bookmarked. +1 guys!

meh...

"A factor of inflation and why the economy is NOT WORKING"

economy ain't sick... outside of standard. If you play standard, try to understand how old it is.
when GGG will release the new trading system, probably the OP maker will be able to find the boots he's looking for.

crafting T1 items is meant to be super expansive
to own "the best item" is meant to be super expansive
super expensive imho means "destined to 1-5% of most affectioned players"

i belive, for the nature of this game, that if a players honorate this game dedicating his life to it, has more rights to obtain something at the top of the value-pyramid.

this game, and this is a secret, don't spread it, is meant to be:
a tutorial in normal
a modest challange in cruel
a game with no mercy in mercyless
a real challange in maps

basically this game is meant to be a HARD GAME, or an UNBEATABLE GAME for 99% of the players.

so in my opinion being able to craft or trade uber good items is meant to be for the best 1-5% of the players.

otherwise it would be just plain boring for everybody.

+1

I think this just about sums it up.

I then see people complaining that it's just catering to 1-5% of the population. Not true.

IRL I have never bought a yacht. I will probably never be able to afford a yacht. I see it a a luxury for people that have mad skills, got lucky or worked that little bit harder for it.

I don't feel the need to get butthurt over it though. I'm happy earning my crust and treating myself to a holiday and a PC upgrade every now and again.

There's nothing wrong with never beating uber atziri; never owning a perfect item. If you absolutely WANT to do those things you have to understand what's involved and that it isn't and more importantly SHOULDN'T be easily accessible to everyone.

it's up to you be at the top of the pyramid. it is meant to cost you the exile, or partial exile, from real social life to achieve it.

i ensure you guys, that if you're able to hit lvl 90+ even with 0% IIR you'll see some good shit on the ground.

How can you ensure this when you haven't been 90+ yet?

sharing is healthy.

Oh Poo!

In the last few days I have managed to VENDOR around 3 or 4 pairs of blue boots that were +30% Movement speed ....

I honestly had no idea they were craft worthy material :(

Matt..
