Why i will not be returning to path of exile ever again. (I assume this is feed back GGG wants?)

It does mean that GGG doesn't care or didn't listen... to the person requesting the fix and who claimed the flaw.

You can't be serious. So when your parents disagree with you and don't do what you want them to do, that means they don't listen and don't care? If your children think you're wrong, does that mean you don't listen and don't care? Just because you think something doesn't mean everybody else thinks the same thing.

You're wrong. I say so, therefore I must be right and what I say cannot be refuted or contested.

In the realm of public opinion, that's a completely valid position to have.
If this were a factual debate, it would be absurd. But it isn't one.

---

GGG can hear "this game should have more enemies" and "this game should have less enemies". Both of these positions are valid positions, because the two people making those requests are different people that play the game differently and expect different things. There is no "one right decision".

GGG has to make a hard decision to support one or the other. Whichever side they support feels as if they were right all along, and whichever side wasn't supported gets to be let down. GGG, for the most part, picks the one that they themselves support, and everyone who doesn't like that can kick rocks.

In all the cases where GGG is fairly ambivalent, public opinion helps. If it doesn't matter greatly one way or the other to GGG and 99% of people say it should be one way, the choice is obvious.

People saying they don't listen mean to say that GGG was ambivalent and didn't count public opinion correctly.
People saying they don't care mean to say that GGG didn't share their opinion (and didn't feel as strongly about it as they themselves did).

Please don't be such an emotional poster in the future. It hurts your position and clutters the forum.

Everything about this game, EXCEPT the desync, is perfect, drop rates, everything. It's just NOT a game for everybody. I hold this opinion with only 4 months (1300 hours) of play time, and broke.

It's good that you feel this way. The game I feel like reaches that perfection is titan quest which in my opinion is far more like d2 than PoE so a lot of my criticisms come from wanting a more d2/tq ideal for PoE.

Really it just boils down to what pneuma said.

It seems like GGG is more prone these days to making errors which transform what should be niche uniques into better-than-most-rares power-creep-causing disasters.
I was going to do a quick response (in the general case rather than Bino's specifically) about what I perceive to be a difference in supporter uniques to GGG ones, but I won't because a) it'll take too much of my time, b) I'm not the best person to talk about that topic and c) I'm aware I have a habit of coming of has harsher/meaner on the forums than I mean to be and I don't want to risk inadvertently offending anyone for the sake of pointing out an unimportant tidbit that might or might not be relevant, and is getting fairly off the main topic of the thread.

Most coherent reply to a question about OP pay2win Uniques I've heard from GGG to date.

We know. You have nothing to add and you post pointless comments.

It's not pointless to me, I'm having fun *shrug*
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

No, it doesn't mean that. They listen. They care. And sometimes the answer is still, "No." Just because they don't do whatever you want, doesn't mean they didn't listen. It could mean they listened but simply decided that you were wrong or what you were requesting was not in the best interests of the game.

the game is so fucked up that to even get the best items you must trade in chat 12+ hours a day

perhaps this is more about expectations that you be at the top of the ladder and think you need the best of the best gear to get there? if you dont need the best items, you certainly dont need to spend hours a day in trade chat. i cant imagine how that would be fun, ever.

granted, im a noob. i'll always be a noob. but i dont see why anyone would spend much time in trade chat at all. its boring, repetitive, spamalicious, and i could just be killing shit and having fun. OP has been playing long enough to know how to set up a shop and let ppl just contact you in game? if i can make exhalts and buy later game uniques, pretty much anyone can once they figure out how. and im sure this is nothing as far as wealth goes, but it is enough for a strong build. which leads me to: perhaps its about expectations.

i expect to always suck. this allows me to occasionally delight myself, cuz sometimes, i dont suck. yeah!

how many would actually play in self found only league? interesting challenge i suppose, but if its only going to work if you take out the random element, does this then mean we'd all get the exact same drops cuz the randomization is gone? this seems as boring as trade chat.

the op had been playing for a while, took a break, came back, got disappointed, and now your quitting. it seems to me you've either outgrown the game or lost the spirit of play. nothing wrong with that. im sorry your disappointed, and perhaps feeling a little betrayed by lost love, but it doesn't make it a bad game. it is an imperfect game, and for me anyway, that is part of its charm. but im a noob, and i plan to stay that way. when im not learning anymore, not figuring out new builds, new styles of play, i too will have out grown this. and until that day, gods of wraeclast help me, may i never ever spend enough time in trade chat to be able to legitimately bitch about it.

would still like a reply from Mark, to my post from page 5.
please.

we can argue about semantics and get into minor details all day long, but GGG don't seem to grasp, that their current concept is flawed from the core.

This probably troubles me more than the game flaws themselves. They seem unwilling to learn and grow from this first attempt of theirs at making a game. Some ideas are great, some are just bad, and they don't seem to know which is the wheat, and which is the chaff. Means that this game will only see marginal improvement, if any at all. Can't believe they went to Release with the game in the shape it was in.
The problem is that some of those flaws are opinions only. Just because a dozen people are vocal about certain flaws in this thread doesn't mean it is true for everybody or even a majority. People complain about GGG ignoring the flaws. Maybe they are just ignoring a few players and the majority of players don't see these things as flawed.

I won't disagree, some are simply opinions. However, I don't think the game was intended to be damage mitigation > all, as that runs counter to a great segment of the games design. I believe that was a consequence of a flawed network implementation. That initial choice has dictated player behaviors. However, this initial flawed approach seems to have done little to dictate dev behavior, as they add stuff that simply doesn't work well with their implementation.

bleh... w/e. It's a clusterfuck.

I don't even want to be "top of the ladder" i just want my god damn end game build items (which is impossible because i don't break rules like RMT or get donations from scrubs on twitch...and shit like that, I WANT TO PLAY LEGIT but its impossible because of "path of trading" so i'd rather just forget this game even exists.

Is it so much to ask for custom league? GGG staff keep giving bullshit hope replies or not responding about the topic at all i've even see GGG staff go as far as trolling/baiting serious threads. AS SEEN IN THIS THREAD!

I haven't outgrown the game or the games content, i've out grown the pathetic replies from GGG staff "oh we might do this..." (never happens they don't even consider new ideas like this) and the most commonly "i don't have much experience in this area so i won't answer this!"

In the first couple of days on the new league (by day 2) i had a character full of uniques but it took me over 20 hours to even get those uniques) why should i waste so much time? GGG's new unknown "trading system" they plan on bringing out whenever will make the game worse. All the game needs is custom leagues and people will come back by the 1000's if not 10000's!
The only game you need to win at is on the internet.
