insane for 3 dragons fire pulse build

saves a gem slot and allows the character to be built mainly on the witch/shadow side without going all the way to avatar of fire

the burning stuff goes to waste in this scenario, but w/e, still good enough

ontopic:

i think its a very bad timing for the ring to be released.

elemental proliferation is way too op atm and needs to be changed. in my opinion you cannot balance this ring without knowing how prolif will look in the future.
The numbers are really high for the item to also have at least some resistance.

Maybe add negative Fire Resistance?
Maybe even negative max Fire Resistance.

How about changing it from cold to fire into lightning to fire? There are already two ways to turn cold damage into burning (cold->fire gem + Avatar of Fire or Three Dragons), but there's no way to 100% convert lightning to fire or burning. Plus, it's more thematically appropriate - it's easy to picture a sorcerer summoning a bolt of lightning to set a pyre a blaze.

Thinking about Frenzy+Endurance Discharge+FirePen synergy.


The original idea was to have the ring do exactly that. However, it ran into difficulties with the 'ash' effect (which may be added in later). More than likely the 'corpses explode' tag will be removed before it is implemented.


Matter of fact, my whole intention behind the ring was to do 2 things.

1. convert cold to fire damage - because, at the time I became a diamond supporter there were few fire spells.
2. remove corpses from the battle field.

Balance is always a moving target. My item has been in the works for over a year now lol. I don't even know what 'elemental proliferation' does! Hoping to get back into the game at some point, but it basically consumed my video game time for over 2 years... needed a change of pace.

ele prolif does the following:

assume you do enough damage to kill a target with 1 hit with a fire skill.

you do kill the target with an ignite triggering.

now over 4 seconds the amount of damage used to kill an enemy will be dealt to everything in a range of 1 screen.

you kill 1 monster, its corpse kills everything on the screen tenfold
So, do you have to kill the target in *one hit* as in, if target dies in 1 hit then EP triggers but if not nothing happens? If that is the case, it doesn't seem as though my item will do anything special. I mean, it converts cold to fire, and the burn increase is marginal compared to what can be obtained on the web.
