Your League ideas
I would go for an UT2004-ONS-like league.
Players divided into two fractions, trying to control different capture-points, (locations with defined perimeter strategicaly placed in the game world), by standing inside the perimeter. Each of the teams would start with certain amount of score, and for every captured location at the end of like 10-min intervals would the score of the other team decrease. Locations to capture would be in different zones guarded by creeps - so in some dungeon or etc would be location capture more severe than in low-lvl zones. So players would be given a choise between capturin low lvl points or exp to be able capture high lvl points and defend them agains other team respectively. |

got a couple of ideas.
No Potion drops/ no item drops league would be nice you only got your skillbuilds to fight it out or a league that uses monster kills as a currency. "Never falter in counting to 3000!"

Sidekick League / Play with your friends league.
Many people might be familiar with their sidekicking system of some sort, for a recent example that I'm thinking of when suggesting this, consider the system in place in Guild Wars 2 (yes I know other games have it too, great! This is just the one I'm familiar with). What this does is when a higher level character enters an area below his level, he gets "scaled down" - getting an effective level of (area level + 1), and all his attributes (health and damage effectively) scale down so that he no longer has a trivial time with the monsters in the area. Also, loot rewards in GW2 are per person (Diablo 3 has the same thing) and the sidekick system interacts with this a bit - a high level character will get drops appropriate to his real level even when they are playing in a low level area with a friend. Not as vital to the 'play with your friends' league but would still be nice. Such systems allow for players with high level characters to join friends with low level characters without ruining the fun for either party, and have pretty much made me sad whenever I play a game without them now (D3 some friends 10 levels above, some friends 10 levels below etc). Exalted League
The idea of this league is that players with a level 100 character can restart the whole game with their level 100, though with a much higher difficulty. They would also get better items than normal players, because the difficulty is much higher. All of the enemies there would be level 101, and with much higher damage and health (like Diablo 3's Inferno difficulty). When your character enters the Exalted League however, because you are getting the best items in the game, you can only PvP against other players in the Exalted League, instead of PvPing against a normal level 100 who decided not to join the Exalted League. |

I read through the first few pages and only saw this mentioned once or twice so I just want to offer some support for the idea. I would also love to see some type of endless dungeon league with a leaderboard of who has progressed the furthest. Combine this with hardcore for something resembling Nazi Zombies from CoD would be awesome. Solo or group play allowed.
My only other suggestion is to give the creator of a league the option to make it public or private. This to me feels a lot like custom TF2/CS/BF/Whatever servers that people pay to run and open to the public. So why not? Last edited by schlechtums#7603 on Jun 24, 2012, 6:21:57 PM

League of Swordsmen (can change name) - first 7 characters to reach X point (level? boss? act?) receive a rare weapon. there are 7 rare weapons, each with a different type, and stat.
Dagger - huge bleed on crit Claw - huge lifesteal 2hand - chance to stun Bow - high knockback etc etc etc these weapons should be HIGHLY visible, as whenever a player dies in pvp, the weapon is given to the killer. If you ever have more than 1 weapon on you, you can visit an NPC to "combine" the effects example: equipping the bow while holding the claw, you have huge knockback AND huge lifesteal. dying will only cause your equipped weapon to drop, UNLESS you have 5 or more weapons. If you have 5 or more weapons, any death will cause ALL 5 weapons to be redistributed randomly to the next 5 achievers of X point (from above) the winner is the first person to collect all 7 weapons. all weapons owners can be viewed on a ladderboard. once somebody has a few, you know they will be hunted. getting all 7 will be VERY hard.
