Your League ideas
So i had a idea of a league similar to Attrition, but with elements of Hardcore and Cut-throat. Battle Royale league would be a short term league holding 100 players, and after 4 hour leveling peroid, and from that time, game would arrange a duel between each one of them on a set peroid of time. If both of them fail to kill eachother, they are both eliminated. This league would be hardcore and full loot, so no coming back from deaths. In order to speed up leveling, a player kill could net more XP. What do you think about it guys?

Woah lot of Reading.
Few Ideas , dont actually know if they are previously posted. ------ Cut Throat. Monsters respawn. Min and Max level ranges to be in a zone. ----------- Iron Man you say Mana Regen off ? Does this mean default mana regen is 0% only upped by items and passive skills ? I would also suggest that instances never reset to force them to always push forwards ---------- League Idea- Open Frenzy. * All areas are open. * Monsters constantly respawn * Max 20 People per Instance * Bosses have constant respawning minions. But the bosses dont respawn * Loot must be Personal : Ideas of Scenarios - People join a killing frenzy to push their way across a level - All sides need to be covered - currently a level 10 area will probably be full of level 20's struggiling. - Massive deaths in first zone until people end up banding together. - Encourage large groups of people to enter zones at once - Give Team Play something serious to contend with. - Max level before final area , making the end push of the game ridiculous but fabulously fun - HC Mode will have the highest skilled players striving to get through using as much nouse and team work possible |

" To quote the wall of text up above, "We have many plans for interesting game modifiers that leagues can apply, but one rule is clear – they must only make the game harder. Because characters transfer back to the parent league when a league ends, it is important that the character’s journey to its current status was equivalent or more difficult than gameplay in the parent league." ...So probably not. Default seems casual enough right now, and as for silly leagues, I'm not sure I follow... |

" what i think, you mis-interpert my sentences. Will there be league(s) where players have fun by doing silly/crazy stuffs in it? It does not have to be competitive or very hard. Just for the purpose to fool around, have a laugh out of it, ........ etc. You can provide no reward or provide reward(s) with no value to it. Players dont have to be serious to that league. Perm. Could be called:
"The Colosseum" or "Deathmatch": Heres how it would play out... Everyone has 40 minutes to get to lvl 10-15 or whatever its set for. After that, characters are randomly pitted in 1on1, 2v2 ect... 's until there is 1 man/team standing. When selected to duel, the players are randomly selected and teleported from wherever they are to a random monster area with another player(all monsters/traps are there too. All exits are locked, and a disconnect results in a loss. Once a player dies the winners has 2 minutes to gather the loot of dead players before he goes back into the pool of random duels. All chars have a level cap at say 15. Obviously a bunch of duels can do going on at once in multiple instances. Lets say there are 1000 players, After first round of killing, only 500 left, Then 250, 125, 63 32 16 8 4 2 1 As you can see not many rounds of deaths have to cycle though. So it can be under a 3 hour event 40 minutes of lvling, roughly 5 minutes per round Roughly 10 rounds of fighting Game can easily be over in under 2 hours. Game would be hardcore. After the rounds begin, no towning is allowed What you all think? " Let me provide an example:- Dungeon League - map filled with dungeons. - It requires a 4-6 party members. Below that cannot enter. This can be adjust based on the difficulty of the dungeons. - various dungeons difficulty, but must require a party. - there will be rewards. Could be just simply a title. - various mode of dungeons. (meaning:- competitive, humour, sad, scary, "pissed-off", surprise, modes etc.) The main idea is having emotional attachment to it. . You can have a simple short story for each dungeons. You dont have to be complicated, just simple and straight-forward. To minimize the workload, GGG could let the community to develop them. (no neccessity here) Perm. I think binding the league customization with some creative modding capability will really improve the game-->script and programming language like Papyrus for Skyrim would be nice!
This will enable players to make their own regions, storylines, and most importantly-I think- factions/player interactions. I mean HSR games like these are nice, but with proper factions and continuously expanding world would definitely increase its replayability. Also, I do not think a league customizer capable of changing item properties directly is a very good idea. Instead, they can introduce indirect elements which can change the in game items, such as balanced or even underpowered unique items for the plot, spawn rate, and so on. +1 for Hunger game/survival mode, camps, foraging, and stealth would be nice element to the game. A modification of this would be "Nomadic/survival" mode, where parties are forced to continuously change region and camp in day or weekly basis, if they fail to escape in time, the party lose. |

How about a "race" type of league?
Registering for the league is open for about 30 minutes, and everyone who joins waits in a starting area before the league starts. You have to get through areas of increasing difficulties, and be the first one to reach a certain endpoint; that person wins the league. Of course, attempting to run through all the areas at level 1 isn't a smart move, since you will die at later areas. Players need to figure how long they need to level in a certain area before it is safe enough to run through to the next one. Leagues like this can be very short, and as such restart often on a regular basis. It may also be combined with hardcore cut-throat for the truly dangerous racing experience. Any opinion? |
